My wife and I have an unhealthy obsession for fish burgers. We live in N. Van and go to Browns quite a bit and have the fish burgers there as they are very tasty. They usually use fresh halibut and have some kind of delicious mystery sauce....highly recommended! Anyway, does anyone have other suggestions?

Not really a fish burger, but I've enjoyed the oyster burgers at ya-yas in Horsehoe Bay. It's been ages though, so I'm not sure if the place is even there still.

You betcha they are. My son & I stopped in for a few Stella Bays before we took the ferry over to Langdale on Friday. Very fresh!

What exactly qualifies as a "fish burger"? Does it require a patty of some sort, or will a fillet do?

The grilled salmon & grilled tuna sandwiches they serve at Go Fish! are pretty awesome ... a perfect alternative when I'm not into the battered stuff. And, they'll cook it to doneness for you as well. Just ask.

That's huge, IMHO. I've never been a big fan of salmon or tuna burgers, as invariably the "patty" is overcooked, which for me means the fish is well done. I like my salmon just like I like a steak - rare to medium rare. If I can get a salmon burger done medium rare - well then a whole new world has opened up for me......lol

Always remember that you are unique. Just like everyone else.

I've never had a patty....just a fillet.

Aided and abetted by that delicious side stripe mayonnaise--I ordered mine '000' yesterday and was happy for the experience.
