This site has some recipes on it, but mostly I go for the author's food articles:

English, Japanese.

this site Japanese food reference online has some great information about:

--sushi glossaries

--kaiseki ryouri, or temple cuisine

--nabemono, or stewed one-pot dishes

...as well as lots of other interesting Japanese food-related stuff. the links and navigation are at the bottom of each page.

yongfook.com

from the "about" section:

"Yongfook.com is entirely devoted to reviews of crap Japanese food - the kind that only children and poor people eat."

In reality it is about conbini (convinience store) fare that actually a large number of people eat on a daily basis. It is very silly and fun.

Bento moblog is one of the many blogs dedicated to the daily bento. It's the only one I've seen that's in English.

The following, both food blogs and regular blogs, feature Japanese food occasionally:

Miruki, a very slick site featuring mostly Japanese and Japanese-style western recipes.

Johny Angel, by an American in love with with all kinds of Asian food.

l'art de vivre, with tonnes of Asian and other recipes.

Umami, with plenty of food adventures in Singapore and elsewhere.

Son of Soy, a Filipino American's blog about Japan.

Pinkcocoa tabetai, mostly Asian food in Australia.

My little cyberspot, Asian food in Singapore.

Does anyone know any good Japanese-language Japanese food blogs?

How much time do you have?

I found this list of food related blogs in Japanese

I looked at a couple and they have some with great pictures.

I had run across this great food blog a little while ago, but I forgot to bookmark it...

Japanese microwave cooking from Sachiko Murakami (in English as well as Japanese).

In Japan her name is synonomous with microwave cooking and I actually have one of her bread books, the one with something like proofing the bread in the microwave in 10 minutes....

I just ran across this cute blog in Japanese, mostly fast food but if you look at the categories on the right there is a separate category for ryouri.
