Halloween party banquet, huh? I peered very hard at the pix of all that gorgeous food and just can't find anything looking remotely scary.....but then, I'm chinese. No food scares me!

You didn't see the guests!:shock:

English trifle for dessert with a chinese meal. That's pretty scary!!

But seriously, it looked delicious.

What is REALLY scary is that I forgot to mention the leek bundles also had Chinese mushrooms in thm.

And English trifle is our new "tradition" with the Choy family!

Whoa! That's some beautiful cake, and abalone/conpoy/mushrooms and lettuce.

Thanks so much! Ah Leung Silow, and Tepee Mui Mui.

The evening started with a harp concert by my daughter China and her ensemble with 5 other harpers. This was to be her last recital as she will be leaving home in the fall. China's been studying the harp since the third grade, and she just graduated from university last week.

To come home with this dish and the cake was a wonderful end to my day.

Sang Yat Fai Lok, Dai Gah Jeh! Your day sounded wonderful. The harp is a beautiful instrument, in form and sound...you're so blessed to have a daughter who can play it.

Ben-sook....you sound a bit blur. Start taking some herbs!

All the abalone dish needs is a candle!

The harp --- how beautiful. Is she pursuing music as her life's work?
