Not to be pedantic and all, but the bird you IDed as an osprey in Loreto is actually a frigate bird. Unusual to see them sitting still--most of the time they're airborne and sailing over the coast. They also steal food from other birds, especially seagulls. They spend a lot of time on the rigging of fishing boats hoping for a snack. Beautiful in flight but nasty the rest of the time.
