R.I.P. Maida Heatter

Earlier this week it was Leah Chase; now it's Maida Heatter, gone at 102.  I think I'll have to make one of her desserts in commemoration.

The link seems to have gone dead.

Here's an essay on her by James Beard award winning personal-essay writer Helen Rosner in the New Yorker (click).

I am amazed at how pricey her cookbooks still are, even used.
