Uploading a Word file to MacGourmet

Does MacGourmet accept files from Word. Went to the site but couldn't find an answer.

You can import files from some other recipe collection programs such as Cookware Deluxe, Mastercook and Meal Master but when I tried to import a pages file (the Mac equivalent to word files) it does not work.

Anyone know a Mac app that does accept Word files? Am willing to migrate from Word to something else--Nisus, Pages, etc--if I can then import the files into the app. Assuming, that is, that the app offers me significant advantages over just maintaining Word files by category.

There are some previous threads that may give you some ideas of what people like about different solutions they are using.  Evernote seems quite popular and it's not cooking-specific so you may find other uses for it.
