My little hop vine climbed up the side of our back porch and now has a nice crop. My home-brew days are long past, but I seem to have a vague memory of using the hop berries as a seasoning in other foods.

Google searches come up with beer, beer, and more beer. Any other ideas out there?

Interesting question Jim, the only I can think of is brownies! The hops family is related to marijuana and the only food I've seen with marijuana is brownies. Though I don't know why you go through all of the trouble to do so. But maybe you like acrid, horrible brownies.

Moi? I can't take credit for the idea. Went to a T-Day dinner in Boston with college friends (1967) and just about EVERY dish had some sort of, um, substance in it.

maybe I should just smoke them.....

You can still find hops growing around the porches of old homesteads out in eastern Oregon....apparently they act as a sort of insect repellent. I'll continue to enjoy mine as an ornamental.
