already posted in ingredient thread but thought it might get lost there, anyways caper's had it for $18 for a measly 250 ml bottle, not doing that , will pay a premium but that much of one

igourmet.com sells avocado oil in the States, online. Cost is $12.99 for 250 mls. I recently sent an American friend this info so assume it is still same price!

Also, it is Olivado brand made right here in New Zealand. Wonderful stuff.

ya thats the stuff they had, it was organic and all , i would prefer non-organic as its soooo expensive as it is

amazon.com shows a minimum price of US$7.50 for 250ml, and they're usually pretty good. You can order their groceries through a US package receiver in any of the US border towns.

thanks for the tips i called g.w and they sell 2 brands with the cheapest being $11 again for a 250 ml bottle, guess they figure they'd never sell any at the price they'd have to charge for a 500ml or 1L bottle

You might just try going to www.froogle.com and doing a search for it. You'll see some soapmaking-grade oil and some will say suitable for food use. Looks like it goes for around $1 an ounce.
