I wonder whether you'd like to compare the clienteles you came into contact with in the various cities where you have worked, what their expectations were and anything else you'd like to comment on in terms of the atmosphere, working conditions, etc., etc. Also, if you weren't working in Houston today, what other city would you most like to work in and why?

Yes, but they're cooked, so the cyanide is gone. Mabelline, I used to eat raw peach pits, too, when I was a kid. Nothing bad happened to me, but I stopped eating them when I was told they contained cyanide.

Meat substitutes are fine when they're Chinese, as in vegetarian duck. People who are not vegetarians are delighted to have some delicious Chinese vegetarian food that mocks the texture and flavor of ham, pork, whatever. But protose steak sucks!

That's a really great quote about Oliveto. But we might want to be careful when talking about fusions of Chinese cuisines with whatever cuisines they encounter in other countries. Chinese people in places like Malaysia and Thailand embrace fusion and make fantastic food!
