That is what I do. In fact, I deliberately cook enough rice to freeze three or four servings.

Still resisting.

Too late for breakfast. Too early for lunch. Calling it brunch just seems wrong. A bowl of rice topped with leftover yakitori chicken, some blanched snow peas and a drizzle of ponzu.

Dinner last evening was lettuce wraps with mini Lamb burgers, and a cucumber and tomato salad with wasabi mayo.

Cored the carrots did ya?

Would that not make them tart tarts? -
Pork donburi with snow peas and beni shoga. Tomato salad with red onion and a soy and ginger dressing. @Shelby: the tomatoes are peeled!

Mushrooms are an approximation of @Blether‘s technique here, soy sauce egg and simply salted tomatoes.

Chicken yakitori with a cucumber salad. Even though I made this myself I will go out on a limb and say this chicken was fantastic. On the other hand I am afraid to go back into my kitchen. The cleanup will be a beast as I did it in a grill pan.

Indeed. There is nothing particularly unusual about oats in meatloaf as far as I can recall.
-
And it is not difficult to find gluten-free oats.

Nope. Much more traditional. Straight from the fridge, boiled for exactly 6 minutes and 30 seconds and then plunged into an ice bath. Don’t know why these six came out so well. I think there is a lot more to consistency in egg cookery than anyone is admitting to.

Thanks. And believe it or not they are just supermarket eggs.

And we can all turn ourselves into gents?

Tomato soup rarely calls out to me. I might be able to make an exception for this one. Thanks, as always, for sharing.

Leftover sausage reheated in the Cuisinart Steam Oven with some mustard mayo. Two salads: cucumber salad with a sweet lime vinegar dressing (a riff on a recipe from Saladish) and a tomato salad with a spicy ponzu dressing (a riff on a recipe from Japaneasy).

Today @Kerry Beal and I went in search of Dave’s Killer Bread at the Great Canadian Superstore in Grimsby. And since we were in Grimsby decided to have lunch at Grimsby Thai once again. Ginger tea for Kerry. Seemed somewhat odd that there was no teapot. Icy cold brew for me which definitely hit the spot on a day when the temperature felt somewhere around 40°C. Calamari of course. Very tasty very chewy. Penang curry and rice bowl. Lamb in a spicy lime sauce. So good! P.S. we found the bread.

@Smithy Yep I once made it for my granddaughter and got pretty much the same reaction.

Ah, but the kids don’t want better. They want the blue box.
