My grandma always taught me that what will hold a lot will also hold a little. Apparently it doesn't work the other way around!

Creamy bucatini with roasted seaweed. Inspired by @blue_dolphinvia Korean American Food. I am still not sure about this. Definitely a little too salty for my taste. I might try it again reducing the salt. I eat a fair amount of the seaweed snack and don't find it too salty so I think it was elsewhere that the salt was over used by me.

Perhaps you could tell us which ones you favour?

I am not talking about restrictive diets. Trust me they are a waste of time after a certain age. What I am talking about is making sure that you are getting adequate amounts of those nutrients that keep you at your peak as far as that is possible. I find it difficult to consume the amount of vegetables and fruit that I believe would make me just a little bit closer to optimum. While I am willing to somewhat watch my salt intake no way am I going to go on a salt free diet. If I'm going to die of something I prefer it was not starvation. edited to add that the salt restriction would improve my current state of health and has nothing to do with extending my life span.

Thank you. I am equally puzzled.

Yeah. I think I need to remember that other people have different ideas and that they're not necessarily on the same wavelength as me where convenience is concerned . When I read that it's going to take me that long to prepare something from the freezer I become a little antsy. And I don't think I would ever remember to thaw them in the refrigerator either.

I had two of these that were fast approaching compostage! Braised in butter and chicken stock. Later in the day some frozen cherries and some delicious and very expensive sour cream.

Thanks for sharing. Just puzzled as to why. Doesn't seem to be much less trouble this way than when done from scratch. Not judging. Just a bit puzzled. I guess making the bechamel.

I am wondering how your package them for the freezer and how you reheat them. Thank you.

Isn't it funny yet all too common but the minute I no longer have it I desperately need it!

Nice. My email said it would take them five days to determine if I was entitled! That is after even Amazon told me I was.

Lamb chops left from lunch yesterday. I roasted some potatoes in duck fat and before pulling them from the oven put the lamb chops on top added the blanched sugar snaps and gave them five or 10 minutes together. Quite delicious.

Have you noticed any sort of outrageous price increase in the restaurant meals?
-
It was so, so good. Those lamb chops practically melted in my mouth. And I was so desperate for some salad not dressed with white vinegar. Yeah the eggplant might've been a bridge too far. But really it wasn't so awful.

Almost the first real food I have had in a week. From one of our favourite restaurants, Rose in the Kitchen. For @Kerry BealHunkar Begendi --cubes of lamb cooked in tomato sauce and served over puréed eggplant. For me wonderfully tender lamb chops with rice, roasted tomato and jalapeño and a garden salad. A tiny little bit of Kerry's eggplant dish is also on my plate and I did swallow it. It wasn't really quite so bad. Dessert. Revani.

I gritted my teeth at the unbelievable price of this Kindle book. But I still had a good chunk of a gift certificate I received at Christmas and I was curious about Taiwanese-American cuisine. No comment yet. I am looking more for interesting reading material than for something I will actually use for menu/meal planning.

Two things – – I must have misread about people who no longer own their air fryer. And it is quite a performance to get all the information they need in order to register your unit that has been recalled. Without a friend here to do the grunt work of turning the thing upside down and taking three photographs and cutting wires etc. I'm sure I would never have managed this. I feel sorry for people who are not as fortunate. Anyway we shall wait and see if a new one shows up because with the wires cut the other one is kind of useless. But they insist that I keep it around I guess until I get my replacement in case I decide to rewire it? Will they need more pictures to prove that I really do have it and it's really been disabled?

Thank you. Again it is not particularly practical for me but I do appreciate the suggestion.
-
Thank you but for lots of reasons it's not terribly practical.
-
Thank you. Thank you. Looks very doable.

Can you say more about this, please?
