    Picked a couple sides of salmon today. Portion for future meals. Sliced off the belly and made a sweet asian marinade to cure the fish in. Tossed in the smoker until done Served with warm potato salad

    Clean out the fridge dinner. Leftover chicken shredded with BBQ sauce, with leaf and beet salads

    Oven roasted chicken thighs with kohlrabi and chopped roasted chk skin and crystallized ginger which really went well together

    @Dejah I like the sound of shrimp stock over beer in the dish and even though I'm a chick pea lover, potatoes sound more traditional. Looks like a lovely dish. Good crusty bread to sop up the broth kinda dish @scamhi those meals look really good. I'm always glad to be home eating my food after a vacation

    Got some coarse stone ground grits from Bradley's country store in Tallahassee a few years ago that have been vacuumed sealed in the freezer. Never used them much due to the time needed to prepare them. Tonight used the pot in pot method with my pressure cooker to cook the grits. Worked very well. Wife hates shrimp so pared them with Patagonian scallops

    Picked up some kohlrabi and beets the other day. Used the kohlrabi tops the day before but needed to get to the beets. Made a beet salad with chick peas, celery and carrots. Of course everything is colored pink but tasty. Served with grilled chicken thighs Dessert was chocolate mousse and berries
  11. Cooked on the grill. Not that it’s a zillion degrees exactly but because it was outside where the grill is so I guess almost the same. But I’m in west central Fla. Tampa Bay where humidity rules and a breeze is always appreciated Chicken thighs with a cool beet garbanzo salad. We did eat indoors

  21. Here in central west coast Florida everyone has AC. Just heated my oven to 400f to make oven fries yesterday. Didn’t give it a second thought. Again air conditioners are in every home. Gone are the days of the breeze ways of my youth
