that's white a questoion Ill move down to magazines : the only magazine I get is Fine Cooking https://www.finecooking.com possibly your library has a subscription ? or a news stand near you a copy ? I do hate to say it but https://www.177milkstreet.com/magazine is quite decent. its a bazillion times better than America's test kitchen however it runs against my grain to buy anything from C.Kimball. the Lord of Churn. its in my library system , so I take advantage of that. again , check your library and newsstand. magazines are dinosaurs waiting to become extinct too bad too.

I can see these as interesting and some sort of Adventure but" Harvesting ' is not going to be one of them " Two Large Salads " CI is never gong to change a sponsor perhaps ? again I really appreciate your time and adventure into this.

@kayb I don't know what MarketBasket uses for its egg/m/s its white and melts really well IU get them on Sat or Sun am I have two in the refrigerator for Sun / Mon Ill ask Land-O-Lakes ? Kraft ? makes the ' dish '
-
all McD need to do is melt the cheese. for its CEO's its Franchise Subscribers and its stock price. its cheese BTW is no where as good as the cheese Market Basket puts on its Muffin-Sausage-Egg-Cheese thing-ey every morning I think its Land)Lakes dont k9nw but the its from MB is foil wrapped they sell out early and is 10 times better than McD not just the meted cheese , but much better cheese than McD makes specifically for their own use.

Legal Seafood is the only current ' Fish House ' Ive been to. a firend has tried them in BOS and Cambridge we went to on in the 'Burbs. we get the fried items as I don't choose to fry at home. the Clams w bellies was as good as you are gong to get in Essex MA the PopCorn shrimp came w a Bufallo like dipping sauce that was excellent. they put a few crumbles of BleuCheese in there which I feel w ' fish ' is a mistake but we go for the Fish and chips : the F&C is smaller Haddock , locally caught Im told and the Haddock F&C is larger Haddock. Ive only had the Haddock F&C a few times. fries are thin light and not greasy. My friend thinks the 'burgs Legal is better than those in town. Im sure if you are in-town or in Cambridge you can do mighty fine w other selections there so no need to go out to the ' burbs. its < 1o minutes from hy house so if I want fried fish , I do very well there.

@&roid I wasn't aware you had to sacrifice a few eggs first when I tried ' low-temp " scrambled didn't work at all LT = when butter melts but does not sizzle. I then thought for the slick coating to work , it had to be brought up to " temp " first

i have neighbors who had an Aerogarden they did everything they were supposed to and indeed very spindly herbs grew but over all , compared to A's pics it was a rip-off of wishful thinkkng Im hoping the C&G has significantly more light , which is the key

A bit of a bump i had occasion to go to my ' Local ' SS about 20 min away i had some business at LLBean , that SS is right there ! I got my Usual : the SmokeShack , a might fine burger w just the right amount of cherry-chili an item I only know about through them delicious it was. I decided to get a Shake I chose vanilla , and it was thick and fine I brought 1/2 home and it was still fine cold but melted. my discerning palate ( or not ) detected a hint of coconut oil or what not in the Shake I had nothing else to do so went to the SS site to find out abrout ingredients I didn't fine ingredients I found nutritional information , and an allegy spread sheet. its not that important don't they have a ingredient list ? what exactly is in that Shake ? it still tasted nice BTW

@JoNorvelleWalker that a 1/2 cup bonus for tomorrows breakfast or lunch ! I do ' mix-in ' rice 80 % of the time so I plan and look forward to leftovers the next day ++ the it. its not really " fried rice " but its close enough for me same w the biryani rice and a ++ is I can control the sodium content. I haven't made rice in the iPot for this reason. it takes 55 minutes in the Fuzzy but im not involved until it beeps the I Fluss up and add the mix ins so " Indian " I add the Patak paste at the Get Go

I completely agree with @gfweb you have a range of exact textures w SV , reproducible esp w fish / shellfish of course its sort of like the choices you get w SV eggs. Tilapia is another example. its a fairly flavorless , relatively tough fish w SV , you can add a flavor , and pick and exact texture that turns it into a reasonable meal its never going to be Dover Sole , not ever ever but 134 f for 30 results in something not so bad. as its a bland fish I like a like sprinkling of Penzey's Chicago Steak seasoning ( original P's not their off shoot ) its also nice w a smear of Patak's Vindaloo , Tikka , Biryani all pastes not simmer sauce but the Ss might work in a pinch bet the other pastes might be nice too. I start from Fz with the fish from TJ's in a bag that has kept its seal but remove the fish into a SV bag. if from Tz add 5 - 10 w a fully heated water bath. the T become edible !
-
good points I do 4 - 5 cups ( the smaller oriental ones ) then add mix ins and have lots of leftovers i eat cold or at room temp over a few days like Chinese - Indian take out w/o the Out.
-
one thing to think about w RiceCookers : the cups indicated are smaller than USA cups as noted. all things being equal , if the price difference between a 5 cup and a 10 cup is acceptable to you I have a 10 cup Panasonic the extra space in the bowl allows platy of room for ' mix-ins ' after the rice it cooks and the gizmo warms them up ! ie Not-FriedRice , Not-Biryani , Not-Rice++ etc well worth it. the gizmo @ 10 cups is not that much bigger to boot.

thank you Im sure you will enjoy it I hope it works out. if all the iPot stuff suggests milk does not do well PC than that must be so for induction ( or not ) pressiure Rice Cookers thanks for looking into this.
-
@CanadianHomeChef hope tis works out well for you I noticed ' Porridge ' selection I can't remember is this is Induction / pressure. if so after you get it going does it say anything about milk with the Porridge cycle only it its ' pressure ' based on what ive read on the iPot from several books milk does not do well w ' pressure ' cooking.
-
@&roid you are correct. DARTO has lost its way with their packaging rims ? Handles ? Future Patina the surface matter quite a bit more. hope you get the surface as smooth as it needs to be for cooking.
