an advantage to coolers , with a thermal top ( remember : coolers are made to keep items cold, not hot . they have very little to no insulation in the top ) is you can pack more into them , using as much space as possible, as long as there is a little giggling you just have to pay a little attention to the Mass before it reaches equilibrium.
-
I always use coolers , as I don't have any Cambros Ive used a 30 Qt cooler and a 36 qt cooler with the bluetooth Anova, starting w hot tap water using bubble shipping wrap cut for the top Ive never had a problem w long cooks. Ive also put more packets than one might initially this is ' safe ' just as long as all the packed wiggle a little , and Im careful to give them a stir until the total contents of the cooler reach equilibrium i.e. the set temp so little heat is lost , i.e. the outside of the cooker is not even warm the bluetooth Anova just keeps on chugging and getting the job done

@shain your mini babka looks delicious Im not a pistachio fan for some reason so Ill imagine it w Pecans. -
well , about Butter a Chamber-Vac and freezer are helpful here for some time , not in the last few months Generic butter would come from time to time for $ 1.49 locally I stocked up and Vac'd I decided to splurge once and get Challenge butter https://challengedairy.com it was on sale for $1.99 so ive moved in that direction it did taste better than the generic $ 1.49 this is one on many quirks I have. its not economic as such just odd.

@paulraphael thoughfult comments. Sometimes its best to Ignore BO, if not course consistently not of course before your go to a Fine Galla , personally etc "" just tell a buyer that the company's sweating details and using high-quality parts. " possibly. Anova's , bluetooth , can be had for $ 100 Im only curious , and not suggesting anything at all 3- 4 of those run 10 hours a day might last , one at a time for ............... long. Im just annoyed they have not put similar time in the Anova Combi Oven. just saying

I routinely do eggs w a TB of water and cover until just set easy and no risk of Yolk-damage I think those above might be over-easy , as the yolks w the water method don't have the ' pan-pigments ' you see on those eggs but I haven't made them w the steam method in a while both methods are tasty , esp if you eat the yolks whole as I do after a white Trimming.
-
@robirdstx those eggs look so plump and delicious Im going to have to go back to over-easy.

@shain your Babka looks like something you'd want to have ' removed ' immediately with a ' wide margin .' however , the ' section ' does look very tasty hopefully w lots of butter -

@Katie Meadow thank you for your ideas i was thinking of working with TJ's Fz. Id cut off some of the fibrous leaves and go from there do I love A's or not ? I grew up not that far from the A's capital of the World : Watsonville , CA I used to make them for my father, late in his life when in season , w thick long stems which are an extension of the " Heart " the prep is not my Forte. but ................ I agree , this sort of work , when you get to a certain age or way before ........ but Fresh from WatsonVille ? I now live on the other side of the country My mother , used to buy them when we were young , and steam them and you peeled off the leaves , and dipped them , and pulled off the ' meat ' w your teeth she never grew them , which was too bad. but in the end so delicious I might take a try on TJ's Fz , and see If I can make something not unreasonable from them.

the pinto beans were terrible. orange colored and awful no Pinot flavor at all. have no idea what they put in this can. the hatch salsa was nice , and hot. marmalade excellent. went back to TJ's refried black beans. Ill check market basket if I remember and get and old stand-by for refried pinto beans that taste like Pinto : Old El Paso

much appreciated here a little bit of everything !

I went to the Trader this AM these items i mention : Im at the age that True organic will not make any difference in mylie NaCL and Sugar will , in commercial doses the Marmalade you see id delicious , not too sweet Id forgotten about it I was looking for some Pinto beans , so thought I d try these looking for a pinto bean " refried " Old El Paso makes a decent one but that would involve a trip to another store Tj's has ReFried black beans w jalapeños , probably one jalapeño / each 100 gallons ! but what interests me is the Hath salsa we know a green chili out side of Hatch is still green .............. and the TJ's canned Hatch are vile and insipid ............ so Im trying this I like the flavor of Green [Ed.: not Bells BTW ] so we will see if you like jellies and marmalades TJ's has a few , fairly priced.
