  1. Interesting article. I can't find that they ever had a $1,000 machine, though.
  2. Hi Eart, welcome to the forum.
  3. I knew that sooner or later someone would take one for the team! 😉
  4. CNET Review: https://www.cnet.com/search/?query=Ninja+creami
  5. Thank you again, @shain, for taking us along on your trip and taking and sharing with us your wonderful photographs. I've enjoyed them very much. As an aside, we have a Greek bakery here and they make those doughnuts. They are delicious.
  6. I haven't done any preserving except for frozen stuff for a long time now but I decided to take advantage of the fresh local strawberries (from Quebec) still coming our way and made up a batch of fresh strawberry and Scotch bonnet jelly. I had a bit of a time scrounging up jars and lids as you can see by this motley collection.
  7. It's to lift cooked eggs or other round/oval objects out of boiling water.
  8. Ooooh, that looks so good! I still have 4 tree ripened peaches on my counter. Can you tell me a bit more about your dessert?
  9. Perhaps it was @Ann_T. They have a lot of beautiful woodwork.
  10. Thank you! I did this today. 5 minutes was exactly right, the skins slipped right off.
  11. It sounds as those you are liking the air fryer itself a lot more than the air fryer function on the BSOA.
  12. Lots of bacon here and I haven't noticed any big price increases.
  13. I wonder how it compares to the Anova.
  14. I have a problem with my BSOA and would like to know if anyone else has had the same experience and if so, what did they do about it. When I turn it on to, say, bake at 350F and set the timer for 30 minutes the timer keeps flashing. Maybe 5 to 10 minutes into the pre-heat function the oven quits. Everything just shuts off.
  15. https://epicesdecru.com/ I buy this brand.
  16. I looked it up and it only works on gas stoves and bbq's.
  17. Thank you for that explanation. It confirms that it is not what I am looking for. I'm looking to replace Evernote with something else. Ever since they "upgraded" it to something "better" I can't print from it unless I buy their "premium" version. I don't mind paying for something but I resent it when they upgrade something and take away an existing feature in the process.
  18. @blue_dolphin Are you saying that if I enter my cookbooks and if a do a search on them for say, fish, the actual recipes will not show up? Only the list of ingredients? If so, does that also apply to recipes on blogs when one does a search on those? I have gone to the site but I need to study it more to make sense of it.
  19. So do we.
  20. Can you "import" your Kindle books?
  21. I have been using Vietnamese cinnamon in my baking which needs to be replenished. I'll get some Sri Lanka cinnamon next. Thank you for this topic.
  22. Star anise is something I use from time to time with some pork dishes, and always when I braise red cabbage.
  23. No leftovers? Horrors!
  24. Is that the steam only setting? What temp?
  25. My sister brought me an 11 quart basket of ripe, just of the tree peaches this weekend. I would like to freeze most of them. Can I just cut them in quarters, remove the pits and freeze them SKIN ON? I have frozen tomatoes whole and when I use them, i put them in hot water for a couple of seconds and the skin slips right off. Same thing with peaches?
