I never knew this topic existed. Great fun! @blue_dolphin what do you freeze your pops in? I found this book on Popsicles available free on Amazon and downloaded it, and I thought i would post the link in case others are interested. https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B01FYFXPZC/ref=pe_386430_122413350_TE_DP

I have had the misfortune of having had food poisoning twice. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. Both times the food tasted great.

I tried that and many, many pages of books popped up, but not many cookbooks. I looked for a way to search for "cookbooks" but couldn't find one. Does that mean you have to go through t h e entire list in order to see the cookbooks they are offering to lend?

I bought birch syrup up in Cochrane once. It's very good but I haven't been able to find it around here.

Weird, huh? One store we went to, Loblaws Superstore, is a big store. Empty shelves. When John asked someone about it, the guy didn't even look. He just said that the one on the shelf was the only one they had. Another store, Metro, is another well established chain. Just bare shelves. It seems like such an odd thing for a grocery store to not have ANY of them. Maybe the recent stroke at the Port of Montreal has something to do with it.

That's just it. I can't find any spray oils. The shelves in the grocery stores where they normally sit are empty. No Pam, no other brands, no house brands, no nothing. No canola, no olive oil, no coconut, no sprays period. The only thing I could find was a baking spray which contains flour.

Where have all the spray oils like Pam gone? I can't find any, anywhere. I'd even take a canola based one if I could find it. And while I'm complaining, I'd like to know where the Press 'N Seal is hiding.

I do stop in there whenever I'm in that particular shopping mall. I like looking at the stuff in the kitchen area and usually come out with an item or four. So yes, I'll keep that in mind.

Yes, I did see that. I'm amazed sometimes by the price differences between .ca and .com. I don't mind accounting for the exchange rate and maybe a small premium if I really, really want it or can't find it here, but that's about it.

Thank you @JoNorvelleWalker and @dtremit On Amazon.ca the 7" x 9" costs $43.55 and the 8" x 10" costs $53.34, a bit rich but thank you for the information.

Battery failed for Kitchenaid KHB3581 immersion blender: Now what??
ElsieD replied to a topic in Kitchen Consumer
This is just a comment on KitchenAid products in general. I had a KA mini chopper which I loved because it was the only mini chopper that came with a blade that sliced on one side, shredded on the other. The little plastic thing where the top attaches to the work bowl broke off and I went to my favourite kitchen store to order a replacement. Much to my surprise, I found out that KA does not stock much of anything in the way of spare parts. This was some years back. I kept the motor part. Or I should say, John kept the motor part and I bought a Cuisinart mini chopper (no slicing/shredding blade). Our condo building recently held one of those "get rid of what you don't want" days and lo and behold, while I was nosing around i found my old prep machine's twin. The thing works and I now have a new-to-me work bowl. Ever since I found out they don't stock repair parts I have switched my allegiance to Breville and in some cases Cuisinart. My kitchen store guy says they always have parts. No more KA for me. -
Has anyone found a baking sheet that will fit in the CSO? I don't much care for the ridged one that came with it and would like to get one with a flat bottom. I saw a couple on Amazon that should fit but I thought I'd ask here first. Thanks!
