  1. Speaking from personal experience, the observation area in the ER has a fridge, so if you are admitted to it, you can always get a free bite to eat.
  2. Are you willing to share your recipe?
  3. Has anyone made the Peach Perfect Ice Cream from Rose's Ice Cream Bliss? By chance I happened upon perfectly ripened (not softened) peaches, a rarity in these parts, and would like to make ice cream with some of them. I'm leaning towards making this recipe because Rose never fails one, but thought I would ask here first.
  4. Campbell Soup bought Rao's.😥
  5. I have 2 sets of these. I use the spoonulas the most. Love them.
  6. I want to make some hot red pepper jelly. Ingredients are red bell peppers, Scotch bonnets, sugar, vinegar and pectin. Is there any reason why I can't freeze this in canning jars instead of canning them in a boiling water bath? Thanks!
  7. Interesting. I note that the Rhodes brand which you made are a yeast dough, or at least they have yeast in them. The Pillsbury ones use baking powder, no yeast. I'd think the yeast-raised ones would have a better (to me) texture. I don't recall seeing the Rhodes brand here. If they were, I'd try them.
  8. I just moved Mr. Google into the kitchen and he's playing Kenny G. Lovely. This is something that, in my opinion, no kitchen should be without - the Danish whish!
  9. I never thought of that. I am moving a google one into the kitchen.
  10. This came in my email today. https://www.saveur.com/shop/best-smoker/?utm_term=Saveur_Recipes_08.09.2023&utm_campaign=Saveur_Recipes_Active Dynamic&utm_source=Sailthru&utm_medium=email
  11. Welcome to eGullet. I think you'll like it here. Don't worry about your English - it's way better than my French!
  12. Weird. According to their web site if you subscribe to the magazine, you also have on-line access.
  13. The bad reviews are surprising. Their stuff is usually highly rated. I have one of their rice cookers and a bread machine and love them both.
  14. @KennethT. What did you end up doing?
  15. Do you put them on a rack or straight into the pot?
  16. Not s/v but I have read of boiling the wings for 7 minutes, then patting dry and finish in the oven. If interested, I can send you the blog link.
  17. @JoNorvelleWalker. Are you okay?
  18. I too have a spare
  19. This won't answer your question but if you decide to go the non-pellet route, here are what we have had and my impressions of them. The first item purchased was a Weber Genesis gas bbq. We liked it a lot but it wasn't too great at smoking stuff so it was joined by a Bradley smoker. The smoker worked well especially for cold smoking salmon until the pucks stopped automatically dropping. I got tired of feeding them manually if I was, for example, smoking bacon. So, a Big Green Egg was added to the collection. It was a large so we could cook some big pieces of meat on it but I, for some reason had trouble controlling the heat. We then bought a Weber charcoal kettle and I loved it. Of the 4 that we had, I liked it best. I could control the heat so long cooks were possible but I could also cook quick items, like burgs or steaks. I almost cried when we moved and couldn't take it with us.. if I now want to smoke something I have to do it indoors and i use my stovetop Cameron smoker. I mainly cook back ribs in it.
  20. It looks like it, yes. I assume you are talking about the $40 gift offer? Sorry to be so pokey in responding. I should not have said "merged with". @blue_dolphin's word "link" s correct. As far as I know, they have not merged. As an aside, I wanted to do something with ramen noodles the other day. I just typed "ramen chicken" in the search bar and a recipe from Recipe Tin Eats popped up, which I made. Sure was handier than going through cookbooks, blogs and Mr. Google.
  21. @btbyrd. Feel better now?
  22. They both look delicious.
  23. True, that. And after I buy it I think, what am I going to do with that useless stuff?

I can't even find any Rainier cherries. Now, that's sad.
