Good stories! For me, it was when I was trying to order a bottle of wine and was underage. I asked for the Clos du Bois but pronounced it CLOTHES- DU-BOYS pretty much. The waiter snickered....
I don't know... personally I wouldn't be comfortable taking my kids to eat fast food at a young age. McDonald's really has no nutritional value and I dont want to get my kids in the habit of eating food like that.
I need to eat it w. my fingers sometimes b/c the sushi is TOO BIG to fit in my mouth in 1 bite. I wish sushi places would stop Americanizing sushi and keep it small.
I worked at a touristy place one summer and I will have to say I hate lots of kids who make a HUGE mess w. their crayons, knock over the salt and pepper shakers... ect. And not to mention they didn't even tip well and I had to clean up after their children.
I agree with a lot of those. I hate it when you are at a nice place and they bring your main course out too soon. The whole point is to enjoy the atmosphere.. I don't want to be rushed. I also hate when they are ALWAYS around and don't let you talk to the person you're with.
I have had the experience this summer that the restaurants have been extremely cold! It makes it uncomfortable. While it is very hot outside, it's been freezing inside.
Good luck... you did well on that shopping trip. One point of advice for anytone else on a budget... avoid Whole Foods... its SOOOO pricey. I cannot afford to shop there for most things.
And loathe as some people might be to believe or accept it.... some of the independent soul food / 'cu joint mac 'n cheese gets its color and distinct cheese tang by using the cheese powder packets from commercial boxed mac 'n cheese products and mixing it right in with the milk. That powder along with pre-grated sharp cheddar - results in a mac 'n cheese that most people really like - even if they detest Kraft style boxed mac 'n cheese. ← I love Mac and Cheese with a little bit of feta/gorgonzola/blue cheese added in!
