Oh gosh, thanks! I'll have to think a bit. I've been craving a nice sour cherry pie...... Maybe some savory hand pies for dinner? Or a pot pie?
-
This sounds really good! I bet I could use venison for this. Did you do this on low in the slow cooker? Can you tell me about how long? Would be a great meal for me to do in the morning to come home to after working at our rental house.

Lovely! And, I am happy you got a new camera. I'm sorry some jerk stole your other one

Nickrey-WOW, I'd like a bite of each please. I LOVE marinated mushrooms. The scallop dish looks perfect. Kim-Sometimes trashy hits the spot. Next time I order tamales I'm going to try your casserole. Shrimp stir-fry of sorts last night.

I'm so sorry to hear this. I hope she is as comfortable as she can be and that she can enjoy all of the time she has left. Cancer is such a bitch.

I found another can of pineapple rings lurking in my pantry (see the "I Will Never Again" thread for further info on that lol) so I figured I better use them up. Pineapple upside down cake I used a Southern Living recipe. I love the texture of the cake. The recipe has you fold stiff egg whites into the batter so I think that's what makes it nice and fluffy. However OMG is this cake sweet. And I like sweets. I could only eat a couple of bites and gave the rest to my husband. -
I just got home from working on the rental house and I'm starving. Ann and Okanagancook I'm DROOLING! Last night we had venison meatloaf that I stuffed with sharp cheddar. And, beans and mac and cheese.

How cozy it must be in your lovely camper when it's cold outside! The smell of the bread and food. The thought makes me smile I've never made pita bread, either. Yours is so puffy and pretty! I don't think I'd have trouble cutting it to make a sandwich pocket like I do with the ones we buy. And I KNOW yours taste better. The last ones I bought were worse than cardboard.

Nice, Mitch!!!!! I am getting low on my supplies. Need to place an order soon. I've never tried the Red Nightfall. You'll have to let us know if you like 'em. (btw, have you tried the salsa yet? it looks good!)

Kim--I brined the chicken for couple of days. I put the container outside and it froze a bit....kind of like a salt slushy lol. I don't know if that made the brine not penetrate as well or what. Also, I was going to rotiss. it but I was too lazy to bring the rotiss. up from the basement. So, I roasted it in the oven. It just tasted bland. After working our asses off cleaning a rental house that we own yesterday (I swear on my life the guy must have dumped old grease over and inside the stove at least 50 times. I've never seen anything like it. I spent 4 HOURS cleaning it and it's still not sparkling) we came home famished. I hadn't eaten anything all day. Thus, this was the best venison burger I've ever had lol.

Kim--I don't find myself craving pot roast too often, but I would if I looked at that picture all the time! Looks delicious! Norm--Great looking Korean food! Blah dinner last night. Roasted chicken, brussels sprouts and stuffing.

Oh look at those wonderful dates. *drooooool* And your beautiful dog

Elsie, I think those buns look perfect! I hope you show us the finished sandwiches if you get a chance I made a loaf of white bread for my mother-in-law and some sandwich buns for us. My loaf looks funny, but it will taste good so that's what counts....right? right?

BKE, you are a better human than I....I'd have put the house on lockdown weeks ago . Your chicken sandwiches are something that I would love to have in front of me right now! Paul--I love veggie lasagna. Yours looks wonderful and so cheesy. Anna--I must try to make potatoes like those. I have some pork tasso that I've been trying to use up. So, I made a split pea soup with some andouille and I added tasso towards the end. I can't make split pea soup look pretty To go with, turkey sandwiches on homemade buns. Excuse the ugly cord in the background. And the scrap bowl.

It's exactly like that. I didn't have any dark corn syrup so I used light....I don't know if it made any difference. I had been wanting to try this recipe. It's called Salty Peanut Pie. When I opened my can of peanuts I discovered that I had dumped a whole bunch of pistachios in there...soooooo....it became peanut pistachio pie lol. -

I think it looks delicious AND I spy the fish plate

Yes, sorry, Darienne, that's exactly what happened. Of course the can was on an upper shelf so I've been cleaning sticky goopy gunk off that slimed the whole way down. I just got done scrubbing.

I will never again leave a very very old can of grapefruit segments in a remote corner of the pantry.
