I hope everyone had a wonderful day yesterday! We sure did The usual deviled eggs Green bean, mushroom, blue cheese tart @Kim Shook's scalloped tomatoes--kind of lol. I didn't add any sugar because we don't care for the sweet. The toasties on top with the parm cheese=YUM Prime rib. Perfect (for us) 120F in the middle.
  4. ANNA! Wow!!! What a haul!!! Very exciting

Hot wings with Christmas tree (macaroni) and cheese......the trees ended up looking more like a rocket or a gremlin.....
  8. I'm on the verge of going to medical school so that I can get a job where Kerry works.
  9. OMG I am dying laughing.
  10. Try your lemon pepper wings in the CSO. Heavenly.

I am so hungry for pimento cheese. I have got to make some. And your house is stunning, as usual. Oysters on the half shell ---I could have eaten a zillion of these. I was hungry for a caesar salad and was happy when I found some anchovies in the cupboard. Spaghetti and venison meatballs
  12. Ok. I get you now. Thanks
  13. Well, I never get any wrapped presents from my husband. He is anti-wrap.
  14. Oh...goodness....if this is for me, I totally do not want to become a land baron and I give the Drummonds all their props for doing what they do. My whole point was that I don't think that Ree would be where she is right now without help money-wise---like paying for her site to come up first when searching for certain food recipes. And, one of her recipes totally failed for me so *shrug*. To each their own . I will bow out of this conversation.
  15. I couldn't find a newer thread....I swear there was one last year, but google isn't giving it to me. Anyway....guess what just showed up at my door from my mom and step dad? Soooooooo excited!
  16. I think they look absolutely delicious and I want one!
  17. I finally got it together and made time to make some cornbread to go with last nights soup. My mom and stepdad gifted us this wild boar bacon for Christmas and I was dying to try it (really good stuff btw) First I made the batter using this recipe (I didn't have near enough cottage cheese but I just used what I had and it didn't seem to hurt) Then, I used the Lodge to cook the onions a bit so they were soft. Then I cooked the bacon for about 5 minutes--all of this done on the stove burner. Next you pour the batter over the top I popped it into the CSO at 400F for 15 minutes. Next time I'll check it at about 11 minutes...but it was still awesome. Ronnie said it's the best cornbread he's ever had. I'm sure it had nothing to do with the bacon. Flipped over on a plate

Made Ann's honey garlic chicken again a couple nights ago Celebrated the first day of winter here with soup night. Oyster Rockefeller soup (I scaled the recipe down significantly lol) and bacon cornbread
  19. Oh I am so with you. I read her blog years and years ago before she became "famous" and it was mildly entertaining.....then, I followed her recipe to a "T" on how to cook a turkey ...epic fail. If you do a google and look up the Drummonds in Oklahoma you will see that they own a ton of land (which I say good for them--but she didn't rise to her fame on her cooking alone IMO). For added irritation you should listen to how she pronounces balsamic as in balsamic vinegar. Makes me want to throw myself off a building.
  20. Oh it's so beautiful!!! Yeah, just the mention of "contractor" sends me screaming and running as fast as I can to get away. I'm with you on the square/level thing, too. Our 100 year old farmhouse has some serious issues with that stuff lol.
  21. Ooooooh this is exciting!!!

    Sous Vide Steak

I like my steaks very rare and I do 125F. Most times I do not sear mine....it ends up over cooked for me.
  25. I, too, wondered where you have been! That's just awful! No more falling! Your meals--I don't even want to call them meals lol--sounds just so unappealing. I hate to even ask you what they served for Thanksgiving!
