    I have tri-tip on the brain as there were nice ones at market today. Have not cooked beef in some time but Santa Maria style is my taste memory. May cave to crave.

  3. Not a fan of mega agra food but the ad guys at Green Giant did make vegetables cool for kids as did Popeye w/ spinach.
  4. I just got prompted with his FB page - his image is appropriate and made me smile (corn & bean)

    Well child to a California Baja girl fish tacos + corn tortillas only But the fish looks great!

  18. I have had a craving for the coconut cookies like this. Used to be quite available. - no more Between Famous Amos and Mrs. Fields in the 70's I do not know how we still managed our hip huggers and crop tops. Heavily marketed i L.A. Guess coffee and no real food. T'was a time. have been craving the coconut biscuits like this but not around much anymore.     @Kim Shook Great and comforting Mothers Day spread. I am curious about the egg platter. I've als ways wondered - what goes in the middle - such a vacant space. I had one once with 3D bunnies I think in the middle geared to Easter/spring

    I get wild pollock frequently so your chowder idea is on my tp be made soon list. I turned my last piece into a fish salad this morning.
  21. I'm more laissez-faire - rinse it in cooker insert. Drain tilted with hand on rice. Can't afford rice in our drains. Years of no oops and good rice.

    Yes food is our unifying factor and often the intersection and understanding needed for cultures to accept one another. Thus I LOVE your culture marriage dish
  23. Yes here as well and at Nijiya. Part of my pull back from HMart. I think it is a perception of cleanliness thing. Like washing/scrubbing meat etc. Also speeds up check out and at leat here thetrend is to almost all self-check out
  24. The brushes used to be standard part of a wok kit (as seen on TV). Like @weinoo give me a green scrubbie or the one with blue scrubbie on one side and sponge other side. I like the bamboo one as a decorative element in the utensil holder-pot.
  25. @patti as frequently hitting like means you like it all. I li8ke the caring about the riggers. Food can be that beacon of light at end of day before you fall onto your bunk.
