What is that tree that smells just like it. All over the local high school campus - kids call it the cum tree. Squid does have a clean sweetness so there is some sense to the ice cream. ETA: ornamental pear

Yes which as a former ED person tweaks me but it is better than buying a head for some apps. Just like I can do lovage in a soup. but not full on classic celery. Some probably use it in bloody mary cocktail?

Oh there was that annoyng commercial where the woman taps her head and says "oops I coulda had a V8" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qYo0lVVH2wU

There is the classic V8 and places like Trader Joes have copycats. For years I kept it in my pantry as the base for a quick soup - add hot sauce and maybe cottage cheese or/or croutons - a happy snack or meal. Am I the only one ?

@liamsaunt That is interesting on dead yeast - never in 50+ years had that happen. Wonder why. Any way your naan is enticing.

@blue_dolphin I am more crushing on that pasta shape

Crumble before is simple and potato masher - not a one-off tool fan -
@Kim Shook Hhmmm never encountered cornmeal whompum rolls. How corny are they. Pillsbury?
-
@Shelby I want gizzards now and yours look wonderful. Soo that old rabbit did not completely obliterate your asparagus. Stalk thickness looks ideal.

OMG those mantis shrimp like guys are screaming out to me - well it all is. What a feast.

A common term is Tex-Mex tamale pie. Many employ Jif cornbread mix which I like just fine. Yes on cornbread with chili here and no no no to pasta. It does not repel me but is not common at all. And the classic slit the bag of Fritos the long way and ladle on chili is a popular concession stand item. Common term Frito Pie though clearly not a pie.

I guess I started this topic, At market today organic lacinto was nice. I have plowed through half the bowl just salt, garlic, sour lemon, olive oil. Ni massaging. needed; just a little rest & toss. Rest will be with coco curry fish rice and lentils.

Hopefully not woody

Thanks. You have a good sense of flavors. I can get it at local Persian markets but not able to get to them now. Will try to drain a goat yogurt and add some funky cheese which I can get. Do keep it on your "to do' long list. It has that mother's milk comfort with enough flavor variety to keep it interesting for a single person eating it multiple times from one batch. Los Angeles does have an area known as Tehrangeles https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tehrangeles

Exactly! friend planted it out in her garden and the gardener has never been able to eradicate it. it is even happy under her huge navel orange tree.

Oh yes so share if yu learn how they are being used - would be interesting like the okra technique you recently shared. The thistle name makes so much sense. A German woman was in my yard once and spied by gino0rmous cardoon and shouted "oh what a lovely thistle"

@blue_dolphin what are your sardines of choice

Tad past Persian New Year but Ashe Reshte is on my mind. I first had it locally and did some decent replications. I am fridge and freezer foraging for a similar soup for tomorrow. Good on greens and beans and kinda ok on herbs. In terms of noodles I am going rogue and using elbow macaroni as I like the chew and it holds up to reheat and freeze. Having trouble with kashk sub. This is an intense craving in general. We shall see. Input appreciated.

Thanks I figured it was a product. Think I'll stick to rice and chickpeas.

I know. I do live on 4 acres with no sidewalks or street lights

Sensible advice. Only 4+ years and the small one is buried past 2 nonfunctional exercise bikes they won't let me dispose of and a lawn tractor with a flat tire... If I have a handyman in to do something major I'll enlist him. Did find a wooden skateboard and my son's first surfboard!

Should be interesting. "Milk & honey for coffee and tea"??? So many plant milks and sugar is plant based - why honey. Splitting hairs maybe but odd to me.

I love my full size food processor for certain things and carefully packed it 2 moves ago. Should have been in a box marked kitchen. Well the base and the box of blades was. Have yet to locate the bowl & lid. They have to be in the garage but no luck so far. Was gifted a small one which I make do with but it sure is frustrating. I know I did not leave it at the cottage and it sure did not fall off the moving truck. Ggrrr
