  1. I'd love to hear more about Philippine food.
  2. I've been eating out some since I've been vaccinated last year...every couple weeks...not in crowded places...tuned to local covid activity. And generally in better restaurants. So far so good.
  3. Good price if you need non-stick https://www.amazon.com/All-Clad-H9112S64-Essentials-Nonstick-2-Piece/dp/B07WFQZS8Z?&linkCode=ll1&tag=fwamzhallcladpansaschulman0921-20&linkId=12a464e8e0d65bf8bf5a2106b544c831&language=en_US&ref_=as_li_ss_tl
  4. The cited article is an aggregation of things that together sound bad but are probably trivial. At least one of the "experts" is from a "healthy energy" company, whatever that means, I assume that they have an agenda. It says that PA has banned gas stoves...well, no it hasn't. Insurance companies don't care about gas stoves as far as setting rates. It says that gas stoves generate carbon monoxide. I have a CO monitor right by the stove that detects no CO even when in use. I'd say that the piece is clickbait, mostly, that fits with the current narrative that everything causes climate change. I guess we'll see more of this.
  5. I'll plant a tree and claim carbon off-sets.
  6. This is the only way to understand a process. To get past the assumptions of traditional techniques that may just be wrong. Good work by you!
  7. This is testable. Do GC/mass spec of the volatiles in the "headspace" of the glass. Where is @nathanm when you need him?
  8. and the boxes are big/awkward to carry

    The Tater Tot Topic

Out of boredom and hunger I made some more tots today. I forgot to wring-out the potatoes and they turned out fine. I left a bunch on the counter (after frying) for a few hours and reheated in the airfryer for a few minutes. Came out perfect...so they can be premade and finished at dinner time. Which is nice.
  11. Because who has newspapers to use up?
  12. Imperfect really seems to be changing its method of delivery. And a lot of other things. Look at all the jobs they list. Seems a bad time for mass hiring of truck drivers though. https://jobs.lever.co/imperfectfoods
  13. wow @ShelbyI wish my orders looked like that
  14. For a minute I heard Bermuda in there too.

    Dinner 2022

In honor of the snow of the century. Breakfast for dinner. Sausage are Habbersett's a good local-ish brand, more known for scrapple.
  16. https://ny.eater.com/2022/1/27/22905120/eleven-madison-park-price-hike-no-tipping-nyc-restaurants?utm_source=Sailthru&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Eater National - 01/28/2022&utm_content=A&utm_term=Eater Today So they renounce fair wages etc and go back to tipping with no decrease in menu prices.
  17. Dawn is a detergent capable of cleaning crude oil off a duck ...say their ads. So its detergent powers are pretty strong. But no detergent is great with waxes, which is what seems to be on steel pans/woks.
  18. @pastrygirl
  19. So this guy is apparently British, though to me, his accent is not identifiable.
  20. Is there a distinction between a blogger and an influencer?
  21. I have run into a few "influencers". Oy, what twerps.
  22. He is a gavone
  23. I can't help thinking that a national delivery business that doesn't use FedEx or UPS is doomed. Its not like they are as big as Amazon, which BTW, uses a lot of FedEx. Something squirrely here. Wild Fork can ship with FedEx using a proper box.
  24. I think you need to rethink most of the questions. I don't see how they inform you.
