  3. I have been eating this Korean salad everyday for the past 4 days. The recipe is from an H-Mart recipe card. Its in broken english. The dressing has tiny salted shrimp in it. Is it safe to use these raw out of the jar? Are these cooked or raw in jar? Im not going to fill in WHY Im curious but I think you can surmise....

Actually Perilla Oil tastes like Sesame Oil according to the Korean authorof a cookbook I have, so maybe thats why they call them sesame leaves.

  10. Okay I ate a yummy Korean salad today that had Sesame Leaves. What else can I do with them. I absolutely love them! Torakris made me think they were gonna be too minty for my tastes, but they arent. They make my mouth sing!
  11. http://i10.tinypic.com/53z9ohc.jpg Yoo Hoo! Sheena!!!!!!!!!!! Click on that link, I scanned the salad I just made and it MIGHT be it.. It was sooo good! I ate MOST of it!
  12. I made it oil reduced so I COULD have mayo on it. Oh and I read the back of the VERY old bottle of Yakisoba sauce I had and it had tomatoes in it so voila! I replicated it with what I had. The old bottle of yakisoba sauce was 9 yrs old and I didnt wanna use it.
  13. I made Yakisoba, with real yakisoba noodles. No photo as mine doesnt look visually appealing. I used cabbage, carrot, onion and ground chicken. The sauce was a mixture of bbq, ketchup, worcestershire, soy and honey. I ate it with mayo and Ao Nori ko... YUMMY! Its a keeper, plus I precooked all the veggies in the microwave and didnt use but a drop of oil. Im waiting for my son to wake up and tell me what he thinks. We had kimbap for lunch... Hiroyuki? I would have used Beni Shoga but I was too lazy to root around in the fridge for it. I put the noodles in the microwave in some water for 3 mins to loosen
  14. Pax!!! Thats what I was always thinking! I also was thinking of using a salad spinner for getting oil out of ramen.

  16. Hey, I have a block of green sashimi konnyaku. Its the kind called "marukin sashimi konnyaku". What can I eat it with? I mean what kind of accoutrements or sauce?
  17. I was just at the grocery store and was checking out when I noticed someone had wedged a plastic tub of Guacamole and a box of frozen mini tacos in the magazine rack near the check out! I felt both items. BOTH totally warm to touch. I totally, positively cannot stand that "I dont really want this after all, so Ill just leave it here" mentality!!! Its wasting of food and it pisses me off so much! Cant people just hand it to a grocery store worker? I saw 3 containers of Yoplait and a block of tofu frozen solid mixed in with the frozen Pizza the other day too. You cant sell tofu after its been frozen and I bet the yogurt separates once thawed... Whats YOUR grocery store peeve?
