  1. Pisco sour - We are down to about an ounce of Pisco
  2. I wouldn’t think it would because the surface is generally matte rather than shiny. You’ll notice how matte the cat was in spite of the fact that it was a shiny glass cat that I used as a plug.
  3. salad of this and that with a miso based dressing
  4. I might only if I was going for the velvet effect. But spraying a room temperature piece with color has never given me satisfactory results.
  5. I found it a bit challenging - I went back and added more Apry to mine. Likely won't repeat. I think its the Maraschino that I don't care for. I pick up the same flavor I don't like in an Aviation. We've sort of been picking a bottle of something from the bar - Anna goes to Kindred Cocktail and we opt for the first one for which we have ingredients.
  6. Not expecting it to be any better organized this year! So far it hasn't shown any signs.
  7. Didn't bother to ask - next time I'll just book it under one name!
  8. Thing is we would have got a double wide - just lets us share the power etc (of course we are doing that anyway!)
  9. No discounts -and they won’t let me share a booth.
  10. Page 121of Wybauw Gold - he talks about praliné and gianduja.
  11. He does indeed! I’m impressed with the Fiddyment Farm special press I think it’s called. We had some to try at the eG workshop.
  12. Summer torte - plums and apricots. Just found the empty dish in the sink. They were arguing over plums vs apricots apparently
  13. Ok - can't comment on the source of the pistachio paste - a further dig in the book might give more information (I'd check the glossary). Gianduja would refer to hazelnut gianduja and praline would be the hazelnut paste made with caramelized sugar.
  14. Couple of very fresh Pike Lake Farm eggs cooked in a bit of bacon fat and butter
  15. I think they are different models - but I know the two I had at home were the same and yet the settings were different.
  16. Don't think so - the setting have been those from the start.
  17. My CSO up north makes perfect toast at setting 4, the one at home gives me the same results at setting 3. I've swapped out the one at home when the first one's fan stopped working - it had a different sweet spot setting for toast. I'd say calibration isn't their strong suit.
  18. Rough day in Wiki today with more than it’s fair share of tragedy. But one of the staff had eyes bigger than her stomach (I suspect she’s on the anti diabetic med that causes weight loss and early satiety) so I got to enjoy the guts of a sub wrap and all but the macaroni in a bowl of macaroni soup.
  19. Looks pretty damn good to me! I'm curious to know what you are lighting with that gives that very distinctive pattern on the bonbon?
  20. 1. How about week after mother's day - that's what we have usually done in the past? What are the dates of the NRA? Perhaps (at least me) could combine. 2. I'm not much help to you here - I'm usually the one asking this question. 3. 5 hours might be a stretch - but maybe he'd come see us? 4. I'll help all I can from there - but I might be limited. 5. Collect the money ahead of time - you don't get screwed that way!

    Dinner 2018

I feel sad that you you are with without family - but damn that looks good!
  22. Japanese cabbage rolls with sour cream - cause ‘why not’
