  14. You can decant into almost anything. In similiar situations at friends homes, I've made due with lemonade pitchers, mixing bowls, and a flower vase (all reasons why I like to entertain at home)

Here' s some ideas from this years sunday night wine nights Arancini (Fried Risotto Balls) - a fave at my local haunt Lobster Salad on Sweet potato gaufrette Duck or Seared tuna spring rolls Mini Crab Cakes w Lemongrass Peach Tartlettes w Foie Gras Stuffed Wagyu Meatballs (Think Db Burger) Foie Gras & Duck wrapped in Duck Bacon with a Maple Onion Caramel & Orange zest

  22. I recently tasted a California made Sangiovese. It was not as good as it’s Italian counterpart, but it was very close. Do you think we will see Nebbiolo, Prosecco, Brunello, etc.. cultivated outside Italy and made into a wine as good as it’s Italian counterpart in the near future?

I find that I pay little attention to published wine ratings when making Italian wine purchases (preferring to look at vintages, producers, but mainly recommendations from other people) Do Italian winemakers pay as much attention to these ratings as the French (Robert Parker), Americans, Australians, etc.

  25. With the success of Super-Tuscan and the modernization of Italian vineyards - Are Italian winemakers more concerned with changing to reflect current wine trends and tastes or traditional expression of the grape and region.
