    Winery websites

I like the ones with the online tasting .
  2. "Good customer service shouldn't have to be a two out of three or three out of five experience. There are way too many great restaurants around here to give any of them a second chance after a bad night. And I certainly don't want to feel like I need to friggin' share my experiences with the manager so I can find the place more to my likiing next time. Fair or not, if you want to be successful in business, good food and good service should be second nature and happen every time. I just want to show up, be fed well and taken care of. Passively, with no action required on my part except to pay the bill, leave a tip, and say a warm thank you on my way out the door." ←
  3. Season opens Monday 15 of november. First Crabs Bodega Bay Early afternoon. They are allowed to set the traps 18 hours before the season opens. Wash. and Or. already open I believe.
  4. Having a local company make them is a great idea. They want you as a reference and usually do as good or better as premade cabinets. Also installation is always perfect or to the standard you set for them. Price is competitive. Your custom kitchen is worth it.
  5. I have no idea what jello jigglers are, but if you've been relegated to jello duty, why not do a spectacular jello mold like the one in Rachel Perlow's avatar? That way you'll make mom happy but satisfy your creative needs. ← Make Jello Shooters instead. Liven up the party http://www.holyducttape.com/kps/recipes/j-shooters.html
  6. And always remember the words of the contractor who said " Yea we can do that, Get out your checkbook." Remember the impossible just cost's more. I was the contractor and we did it . (outside the bedroom ,deck and hot tub, on a sloping 35 foot down hillside). Client loved it as did my bank account.
  7. SS has a scorching or hot spot reputation. I wonder if copper and silver coating are still made, in Switzerland, at 'price doesn't matter' cost. ← Not the ss with the copper. The ss is only about .008 inch thick. Falk is the greatest.
  8. All Clad makes 2 different copper lines COP-R-CHEF and COPPER CORE. Price appears to be the same.
  9. They both have a great selection of cooking stuff. Shackfords has a better selection of pots and knives. More of a down home feel than Sur La Table or Williams Sonoma. Worth the trip just cause of were they are. Small tiny cramped little shops with a unique and sometimes eclectic mix of stuff. Shackfords also has a selection of appliance parts. That's were I got my replacement food processor bowl.
  10. That's why I'm always looking for tinned copper in second hand stores, flea markets, garage sales, ebay etc. You got a very good deal, and they should work well for you. What I don't understand is the reference here, and many other threads on eg, for All-Clad? What is it? Why is it coveted? How is it better than say, top grade Lagostina? Just curious... ← All Clad was invented by the people who make the US mint clad coins. Stainless inside various metal combo's in the bottoms and side. Great marketing. I have it, I like it and I'm slowly changing to Falk.
  11. Go to Trader Joes buy Rear Admiral Joseph gin and try it. Our come from behind #3 place this year at the tasting.
  12. Oh yes Bacon.
  13. Sounds like a promotional bottle given out for the anniversary. Like here's yer Christmas present at the office party. Ask A&M Records when they gave it out.
  14. Why are you laughing. That sounds delicious. ← Keeps the cardiologists in business. I eat way to many meals like that.
  15. You could combine Lunch, wine-tasting and shopping by going to Sign Of the Bear in Sonoma or Shackfords in Napa. Support local Business.
  16. Tater tots and Fondue.

    garlic problems

Get your self one of those rubber tube things to peel garlic. Makes short work of it.
  18. Duh, what's an empanada? In the dark on that one.
  19. If you cover everything with plastic, spray with water, and scrape with a 12" tapers knife it will come right off. Let dry and hire a" Drywall Taper" to finish it and then paint. Fast, quick and easy and quite a mess.

    Fried Turkey

Not getting anything on that link.
  21. Give me all that I can afford, I got the starter fry pan and sauce pan (Falk) and have moved on to one piece a year as a present to myself. Nothing like it.
  22. I remember having the only "tough croissant" in my entire life at one. that was so chewy that I dunked it. If you get bad coffee keep a bottle of Baileys Irish Cream around. It even fixes 7-11 coffee or at least makes it less offensive. I'm a Peets man myself.
  23. News flash highest price ever paid for a truffle. http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/a..._record_truffle
