  5. I usually go early on Sat morning right around opening. I started to notice that the same group of men every Sat each with one or two bottles of wine. That's all they bought. Then one day as I was leaving I saw them doing a wine tasting in the parking lot. They pick what they like and go back for cases. Always something new to try they said.

  15. Winesonoma, you reminded of MY favorite picnic thingee (I WISH I had a digital camera!) It's called a Leatherman Flair, and it has needlenose pliers (for the bale on the champagne) a corkscrew with assist, several other gadgets such as scissors and screwdrivers, a pate spreader blade, AND a serving fork for the olives or cornichones (sp?)! http://www.leatherman.com/products/tools/r...air/default.asp Hopefully, the link above will work and you can see it for yourself! Unfortunately, it's considerably more expensive than your little gem, but it's a HELL of a stocking stuffer! ← I also carry a juice XE6 and a nifty combo Knife fork spoon corkscrew I found at Walmart for $10. http://www.leatherman.com/products/tools/xe6/default.asp This is similar but mine was $10. http://www.worldknives.com/product.asp?produid=316&manuid=7

  19. Golf is pretty much year round, The wineries will be open and there will be less of a crowd. Weather could be anything from rain all the time, foggy, cold to bright sunshine in the 60's. Hard to say, but that is the middle of the rainy season. That's what Calistoga mud baths are for.
