  1. Taco Bell used to have Santa Fe gorditas, with corn that I really liked. Now they only have baja and supreme.
  2. I still can't believe Laban reviewed Yucky food cart.
  3. Margaret Kuo's restaurants out in the 'burbs have them.
  4. I'd rather watch battle Pizza dough, than battle Milk, which was featured in an ICJ episode.

    Dinner! 2005

Sorry, I had a whopper from Burger King.
  6. Oh man, Suzuka is a sweet name though.... in fact, with a name like that, I could imagine the reviews already... First mention the name in the opening paragraph. Mention how Suzuka is a prominent seaside fishing town. Mention the famous Gran Prix race circuit in Japan. Make reference to the "sushi circuit" in the restaurant. Now talk about the chef from the same town a little bit as well as the owner. Now talk about the food. Keep making cute references to how fast the food comes around and keep on going with the race metaphor. Compare the chef's neverending sushi making capacity with an endurance racer. Now make a cheesy "great for stopping in on a pitstop" joke to end the review.
  7. honest opinion? Hate that name.....

    Worst Beer Ever Tasted

Old English is without a doubt, the best tasting malt liquor out there. Smooth mouthfeel with a nice buttery finish.
  9. I don't like mine made with Silken tofu. I usually use soft or medium. I also like throwing in Thai basil at the end.

    Worst Beer Ever Tasted

Fosters, Schlitz, and Icehouse are absolutely bottom of the barrel. These are even worse than the cheap cans of High Life and PBR that I adore.

    Food & Beer Pairings

    Macaroni and Cheese and PBR.
  12. Oh man, I tried drinking a forty of Cruzcampo when I was visiting Spain, and I just could not finish the bottle. Very skunky tasting; perhaps I got a bad bottle. I much preferred the standard Aguila (Amstel) or San Miguel when in Spain. Even Alhambra beer was much better.
  13. To give the meatballs its texture, you want to stir in one direction only, vigorously, with chopsticks, for at leat 4-5 minutes. Chopsticks help to bust up the meat a lot better than a spoon would. That's it. ps. These aren't muffins or biscuits. There is no damage done by 'overmixing'.
  14. And that's why real chinese people never eat Peking Duck.
  15. Unless it had a face carved into it and contained a candle within, I doubt it was a nan gua.
  16. What's the decor gonna be? Traditional rustic japanese, or post-modern? And have you settled on a name yet?
  17. Chestnut east of Broad is the hot area now. Is that where you decided upon?
  18. I enjoy eating everything mentioned in this thread. My only food aversions are to stinky tofu and durian.
