Haddock baked with lemon, white wine, and crispy breadcrumbs, roasted sweet potatoes with a hint of curry, and green beans Wine pairing I was thinking tonight how much our dinner time has changed since covid. In the before times, dinner was served at 8:30 during the week due to commuting. Now with my husband working at home full time and my sister getting off at 4PM, we eat between 5:30 and 6. That's probably better for the digestion but makes me feel old 😄

Definitely not, though it could have if I wanted it to. MJ is legal for recreational use in my state. You can even grow a limited amount of plants on your property. It's not of interest to me at this time, though I am appreciative of the medical and emotional relief it can give to those so inclined. Tonight, beef tenderloin topped with the last of the garlic scape butter from last spring (for the guys, I have not eaten red meat in over 30 years, and my sister gave it up about two years ago), macomber turnips pureed with milk and topped with crispy shallots, the last of the purple carrots from my CSA (thank goodness, those buggers stain my hands), Lighthouse Inn potatoes and standard peas. And the wine pairing (excuse purple fingers from evil carrots)

I added them at the very end, just long enough to warm them up. Arugula salad with candied pecans, blue cheese, dried cranberries, and apples Cornbread Snoop Dogg's recipe for fried chicken. It was tasty!

Friday pizza and movie night. Margharita Smoked mussel We are trying to screen all of the Oscar nominated movies, and are quite close to seeing all of them. Based on what was left, last night's (rather unfortunate) choice was Borat Subsequent Moviefilm. I do not think it will be taking home any golden statues.

My pod is decamping to a house in Provincetown for Easter week. We won't be vaccinated yet (well my sister got her first dose but she is the only one so far, the rest of us are not eligible yet), so we cannot/will not eat out. The fish market has contactless curbside pickup, so I am planning on making tuna bolognese. Not a traditional choice, but we all like it a lot.

Did you get an email on Wednesday with the contents of the box? This is the first week we did not get one. The box was a mystery on arrival haha! I am glad I got turnips and not daikon. I have a glut of daikons and carrots in the house right now. I hope you like the CSA. We have been very pleased with it. In addition to the normal share, my husband added flex shares for tomatoes, corn and fruit, and sunflowers for this summer.

Ricotta and gouda cheeses. Last night, salmon udon noodle bowl with shiitake mushrooms, broccoli, and pea sprouts

Coq au vin over brown butter sage egg noodles. I used pea shoots for the greenery as I am out of parsley for some reason.

This week's box. Sweet potatoes, ancient grain loaf (my favorite of all the breads they give us), pea shoots, maple syrup, popcorn, onions, yellow potatoes, daikon radish, lots of carrots, beets, a very small celery root, and apples. There were supposed to be fava sprouts in the box too, but they got left out for some reason.

Your salmon looks so moist and creamy. My family is decamping to a rental house (not via VRBO though, we rent direct from the owner) in a couple of weeks too. Driveable from home and very private as we are not vaccinated yet and need to keep our bubble going, but we all need the change of scenery! Tonight, we had salmon tacos

@rotutsfear not! Nary a single dreaded GBP touched my pizza. It was an orange one. I hate GBPs too. They are guaranteed to give all indigestion. Tonight, roasted chicken with radishes, mashed potatoes, and butternut squash. This chicken dish finished off my glut of watermelon and daikon radishes from the CSA box. It was getting desperate--one bag of radishes was dated 12-7! After I conquer the giant kohlrabi they gave me last week, I should be back on track for a normal crisper drawer.

Pizza and movie night. This one is mushroom, onion, bell pepper and arugula Movie: Promising Young Woman

Sweet potato, bean and quinoa burger with cheddar cheese, topped with onion rings and a fried egg on a homemade pretzel bun. We all liked the buns, the burgers, and the onion rings, but none of us thought the flavors worked together, and we agreed that the egg was superfluous. That's what I get for making a recipe I found on some random blog!

Here is this week's CSA box. Pea shoots, sunflower sprouts, ciabatta bread, radiatori pasta, potatoes, carrots, red beans, red cabbage, daikon radish, sweet potatoes. Edited to add that there were supposed to be onions in this week's box too, but I did not get any for some reason.
