I'm curious whether anyone has what they would consider a real "out there" food (and drink) adventure anywhere in the world, something that maybe even involves some active traveling to experience it. I'm not talking about a guided trip through rural Nepal where the cooks serve good food - I'm talking about trekking through Nepal to find the source of the rare spice, whatchamacallit. (That kind of idea). Truffle hunting in Piedmont. Or heading into rural Ethiopia for a coffee ceremony....
