At the end of March we met my brother at a place he picked in San Gabriel. Don't know if it was halal but it was Chinese/Islamic.

Check out Shafa in Hawthorne, its in the 12200 blk of Hawthorne Blvd and about 50 feet away from a large mosque...great chicken, shwarma and other goodies...most of it Halal
