Irish Cream Liqueurs

I have tried a few irish creams and i think that the best that i have tried so far is St Brendans. I have tried some that were really thin in consistancy and i didnt care for it. The St Brendans is a nice thick creamy liqueur.

I have made the B-52 off the website, www.stbrendans.com and i plan on trying the sunbather tomorow.

Does anybody have any reccomendations of any other irish creams out there?

Scott

Have you considered making your own? It's easy and fast, and produces a much better tasting liqueur.

Mix:

2 cups Irish whiskey

1 can sweetened condensed milk

1 pint heavy cream

1 tablespoon chocolate syrup

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/4 teaspoon almond extract

I find it best to put the ingredients in a big bottle with a tight fitting cap and shake it vigorously -- the sweetened condensed milk it difficult to mix in. This is pretty much ready to drink, although it's better if it sits overnight. You do have to keep it refrigerated because of the cream, but it lasts a long time (this is about the only case I actually prefer to use ultra-pasteurized cream, for its longer shelf life).

I'd like to try out Bushmill's, Brogan's, Feeney's and Duggan's Irish Cream liqueurs yet.

We recently purchased Sylk Scotch Cream liqueur. It is yummy.

What other cream liqueurs are there? Anyone into Carmichael's Heather Cream? Devonshire Royal Cream?

What about the others? O'Darby (is it still made?), O'Leary or O'Mara's Irish Cream liqueurs?

And for some reason I seem to remember reading somewhere that Jameson's is coming out with their own cream liqueur product, but I could be mistaken.
