Hi everyone!! As stated at my personal info, I am a single father who would love to make cakes for my kids without using an oven because we do not have an oven. I could use some help about this kind of cake. If you have any hidden recipes or info that I could use, it is much appreciated. Again, thank you for accepting me in this great site. Welcome to the forum.  Um, what do you bake/roast in if you don't have an oven?

Have you tried making steamed cakes on the stove top or in a pressure cooker?  Along the lines of this.  

Edited to add that a pineapple upside cake might be fun for the kids.

I've made only one steamed cake but was amazed at how simple the process is and how well it turned out.  Who knew?

Welcome, @MichaelB23!  Looking forward to seeing your efforts!  I have nothing to contribute right now.  I've never made a cake without an oven.  What appliances DO you have available to you?  Might help with folks giving you ideas if we knew that.
