Best store-bought vanilla or otherwise fairly plain cookie

I might look for some bakeries in the Atlanta area but I'm planning to make a cream cheese ice cream with rhubarb compote later this month (assuming rhubarb ever arrives).  I need some kind of textural contrast and our oven is acting sketchy now and I don't trust it.

What is your favorite store bought, fairly plain cookie?

I like Anna's Thins...I usually buy orange or ginger, not certain of other flavors.

Also, Pepperidge Farms Chessmen and other 'plain' cookies in their line.  And I also like PF's Gingerbread cookies.

Personally, I think either orange thins or a ginger cookie would go well with what you are serving.

Lorna Doone's and Social Tea's are my favorite grocery store plain cookies but I might prefer a snappy ginger cookie like Trader Joe's Triple Ginger Snaps.

If you don't want ginger in there, the French butter cookies, La Grande Galette would be a treat.

TJ's ginger thins might work with that ice cream and rhubarb combo. Sorry .. they are not 'vanilla' by any means but they are good, crisp and 'plain' (though not in taste).

If they still make them, Pepperidge Farm's Brown Edge Wafers.

Thanks all.  It looks like I have many options.  I'm thinking about throwing some toasted pistachios on there too.
