I Like Lumpy Oatmeal & Farina

I sympathize. I like nonuniformity of texture in many foods - omelets that are browned and charred rare beef.

For properly lumpy farina bring the liquid to a boil, pour in the cereal all at once without dispersing it, and wait briefly before stirring.

Thanks for the tip. It works for farina but not for oatmeal. So, I now mix some farina with the oatmeal and get a nice, lumpy blend.
