Anyone know a good place to buy yeast in larger quantities in NYC? Every grocery store I go into seems to only have the 3-pack of the little packets.

How soon do you need it? I usually order a half-kilo of SAF from the King Arthur catalog and keep it in the freezer. Lasts me several years.

Whole Foods sells the SAF product in 1 pound vacuum sealed bags.

Ah, thanks. The last time I went to Whole Foods I didn't see SAF, but I'll check again.
