ACF Culinary Fund. Book

I am working towards getting ready for ACF Certification and was wondering as CIA trained chef and with all of the CIA texts, is the ACF Culinary Fundamental book necessary? The New Pro Chef 8th ed. is huge and I can't imagine it not having the same info as the ACF book? Any help would be greatly appreciated - the ACF book is 100$ and would rather spend that on somehting else! Thanks y'all ---
