For Korean BBQ...once again cant go wrong with Gardena....just drive down Western and pick a spot...I would trust what Jschyun has to say though....I really respect her opinion and would take what she says over what I say in that respect....but for good cuban and greaseburgers..I am the man!

Gardena...man you are not kidding,what a gold mine! For Cuban,you must try Havana Mania, its hands down the best (I am married to a Cuban)....Azuma is interesting in Gardena.... What other stuff does your boss want, tell him to go to my web site as I have all my reviews from the paper on the site and it might give him/her some ideas on where to go....also where are they staying,that would help with recs...L.A. is a huge spread out place!

Speaking of chases....Sat night , we had a classic L.A pursuit for 1 hr 45 mins that ended in Hollywood,right in front of the Kodak theater....with a stand off....I was in the chopper and could see about 100 plus tourists on Hollywood Blvd thinking it was a movie,starting to take pictures and get close.....I had to yell at them over the loudspeaker in the helicopter.....truly a Hollywood moment!...Only in L.A.!

Yea,I am pretty stoked, now people are actually finding my website...since my newspaper wont let me out it in my column!..Alton is the man!

Our brand new 33 million dollar police station will be open in 3 weeks...its got a buunch of community rooms and kitchen stuff..I could ask the Chief, he should go for it...We have already filmed food network stuff at the station so he should be cool with it....the place is out of this world, you have to see it to believe it!

So do we need to set up a "best pie in L.A." event?...everyone can bring a pie from someplace in L.A. and we could taste test them. I am sure I will be able to write about it, maybe even get a photographer to shoot it...I guess I could find a place to do it as well.....maybe early Sept? What do you think?...Julia, its your idea....what do you think? Could get some nice egullet mentions in the article!

It is historic and kinda neat, but I have not been there since college, but its not a bad rec...I also reccomended Sonia's Kitchen and Super Taqaria!

Swiss on sour dough bread, with butter spread on top, then dried onion flakes and Mrs Dash garlic and herb, the parmesan...then cooked till its golden brown, gooey and crispy...mmmm!

He is a great dinner guest, I picked him up at his hotel, we had a nice diner and cruised around the beach a bit then i took him to LAX for the red eye flight...man that dude works hard! It was a nice meal, no interview, nothing like that...just great conversation over a few beers and tacos!..Modelo cerveza's I might add! You asked for it...here is a photo he took of me...I look like a bull for some reason! Edit: me no spel gud!
