I was waiting to hear about your stinky nuts!

My Mt Rushmore of cheese would be: A very old sharp cheddar Parmesean Gruyere Mozarella

Oh, that's too bad. My husband and I were just talking about going back to Costa Rica.If we do, I will certainly pack some Velveeta. We had a 3 week trip planned in March 2020 - due to Covid and undue fear of borders being closed, we cut our trip short. CR was one of the most beautiful places I have been. Did you ever tell the story of how you ended up there?

If Velveeta is shelf stable, I would be happy to send you some. It is not as popular in Canada as it is in the US but it is available here. It would be my pleasure to send you a bit of nostalgia!

Oh my gosh! I can just taste them = thank you!

I love that you have a milkman. Haven't had any such thing for years. It was my job as a youngster to put the milk bottles out (with cash tucked in the neck) after supper for the milkman the next morning. Once a month we got to have a quart of chocolate milk - such a nice treat from the Nestles' Chocolate Quick.

We have seasonal farm workers from Mexico in our area. A farmer that we know that hired them lets us know when he has a day where he doesn't have enough work for the full crew and we have them over to our place to help us out. The are the nicest guys, always smiling and such hard workers. No standing around, no cell phones out and they even put up with my not so great Spanish!

Guess I read too quickly - both of my daughters had all 4 wisdom teeth extracted at once and my husband had a full mouth replacement and dairy was never an issue for any of them so that's why my mind went the way it did,

Pastina, oatmeal, rice, mashed potatoes and gravy - been there, done this - more than once. Also ice cream, milkshakes, smoothies, yogurt, cottage cheese, diced canned peaches, applesauce...

Can you label it or tag it?

I have never had biscuits with sausage gravy - but that looks so good - I just might give it a try!

Skor is the favourite here. Also Skor bits for including with toasted pecans in browned butter blondies. Quick and delicious.

I hate them. Mainly because I like to pick my own produce, secondly, I like to pick the amount I want and thirdly they take up so much room in our recycle bin - there is no way to compact them much. In an era where we are trying to reduce plastic waste - why have the clamshells become so prevalent? Where I live, all berries, any type of mini tomatoes, mushrooms, grapes, herbs, bean sprouts, some lettuces, spinach and kale all come in clambshells. So I frequent a South Asian produce store where everything (with the exception of berries) is bulk and you can pick what you want and put it in a sturdy plastic bag. These bags, unlike the clamshells get used at least once more in our house and when their time is up, they take very little room in our recycle bin.

Very disappointing room service from a Marriot. Where is the silver cloche and the linen napkin? Definitely worth an email to management.

Oh my gosh - my husband would love that - I wonder if it is available around here?

Sorry that it was not a stellar dinner for you but you seem to do pretty well with eating out on vacatione. Hopefully things will turn around food-wise for you!

Haha - sounds like Mexico time which we are very familiar with. Even in some of the nicest restaurants, we have waited for over 1/2 an hour for out cocktails and then our appies and dinner and dessert all arrive at the same time. Oh well, if you're in their world you have to live in their world.

Shared that picture with my mainly Pacific Northwest friends and the comments were definitely x-rated.
