  1. Sorry. L'As de Falafel permanently confused me..
  2. F.S. mentionned by blog in the Figaro. He's a damned visionary if he can see any merit in it!
  3. It's a girl. Interesting but flawed novel called Toscane(s). Already seen it here somewhere..
  4. François Simon's latest novel had a "food spy" taking starred chefs recipes and turning them into products to make agro-alimentary companies fortunes ...
  5. The icy attitude at the reception is probably due to five million intrusions by tourists every day because of all of the reviews in travel glossies...I'm sure they don't even have time to do their jobs!
  6. The old stuff I can see, but the "VOD" section with the most recent stuff doesn't work on my mac, what did you do?
  7. It's for FS fans! I couldn't get the new stuff to work either (MAC)
  8. The site says it does. But the links aren't up yet for the new stuff..
  9. ?????????????? You're talking about that processed sea-crap??????????????? I don't know of any reputable restaurant who would have it on their table..
  10. Meg, I can get you some Ocean Spray cranberry juice at the local G20 if you like ...
  11. I remember, months ago, that a chef from La Grande Cascade took over the kitchens of the Roland Garros, with a menu conceived by Veyrat - apart from that, he still has no other business in Paris, except for designing a few luxury sandwichs for a lunch-delivery company..
  12. I've been looking for this show's video archive for ages... FS reviews, Candid Camera style, Paris' hottest tables.... highly recommended! Check out the videos....
  13. The space he bought is in the 17eme--but still no news , even though it should have been open already months ago...
  14. Yes, and the Espadon, at 2007 Euros per person looks pretty interesting, too...
  15. An aquaintance of mine, who owns a well known restaurant in Paris, went with his wife last week for dinner at Sensing. His pork dish was raw inside. He brought it to the server's attention, who didn't believe him. It was left untouched. When dessert was brought , the server told him "You probably won't like this either, as you didn't like the main dish". He noticed that the waiter's shirt-collar was soiled from the inside. Needless to say, he won't return, and I'm not too motivated to go. I certainly won't recommend it to my clients...
  16. Easy as pie. Depends on where you want to go.. For example, personally, I've had last minute tables in every one, two and three star Michelin in Paris.
  17. FYI , Constant has sold his fish/seafood restaurant Les Fables de la Fontaine ....all I know is that the owner's name is David...
  18. Any comments on the service? I have heard from four different people that it really sucks, and seems that the waitstaff is composed of trainees (stagieres) , who have no idea. Others hate the too minimalist décor and high prices... I"ve yet to hear a totally positive review .. then again, they haven't been open long...
  19. Not surprised about Camélion- it's owner and chef Jean Paul Arabian is notoriously unliked in the Paris restaurant world -- wonder how long he'll last...
  20. Ugh - I've already tried these and found both of them disgusting. A trip to the local Picard is much more satisfying..
