  1. Looks pretty solid. Don't know anyone who's really eaten well at Gazetta though..
  2. Yeah , and La Regalade is almost the suburbs!
  3. That sole with noodles looks a little, shall we say, anatomical?
  4. I was the first one to buy the new Le Fooding guide 2009 at the boutique Colette this morning - visibly, the only other people lining up were those waiting for some new trendy trainers....... The Colette release seemed so exclusive that it wasn't even on the shelves, and the shop assistant had to go and look in the storage room to find it. The format is interesting, and mimics the magazine MONOCLE in both size, paper choice and typeface, and includes 800 restaurants in both Paris and the rest of France. It goes on general public sale the 13th of November.
  5. Well, anyway, it should be III for the third opening ....after London and rue des Martyrs....
  6. Don't forget the upcoming release of the 2009 Le Fooding guide, released on November 13th at newsstands, and for those hardy souls ready to wait in line, at the Colette boutique tomorrow.....
  7. Wow, sounds great . Is that a commercial?
  8. Thanks everyone, but there's a lot of generalizing and guessing going on, and I think it's a little easy to psycho analyse and profess know everything about these chefs...
  9. Share the hatred of good old restaurants?! Could you further explain? As far as I know, they're both big fans of traditional French cuisine..It's where they got their start, the base upon which they constructed their careers, no?
  10. They're open for lunch Sundays as far as I know --- I've seen the open anyway...
  11. I enjoyed the brunch there a few weeks ago, but I was hoping to try their bistro fare....
  12. All this talk made me think of François Simon's article on McDonalds awhile back, where he compared a salad at McDonalds to what is served in many brasseries in Paris nowadays. I think the brasseries didn't fare too well when weighing in the price/quality ratio.
  13. Don't forget egulleter's Meg's contribution .... Meg is Le Blageur , by the way, and has written the web (and soon to be paper edition) of Black Book magazine's new "Jet Set" guides. The reviews are of bars, restaurants and hotels, the text is to the point, snappy and tongue in chic.
  14. He talks about it here too 22 seater restaurant with similar , no choice menu concept, much larger dining room, champagne cellar and snacks outside of lunch/dinner hours with luxury comfort food like lobster rolls... And the investment for the original Spring wasn't much more than 100k...
  15. Isn't Chamarré at Montmarte old news?
  16. Baan Baran is fine - not expensive - NUM I found to be very less than average in all ways
  17. Ditto on the Vaudeville- very disappointing. Bad food quality, and they made oh such a fuss of preparing the tartar- it was still bad. And the waitstaff was making fun of the clients in quite a rude way...

    Ledoyen

Not surprised- just one of the many sloppy food websites that exist out there...
