  1. I do believe they had a fine ole time. I was too full too, but I have to quality check. No really, I do.

    Burger Club

    Welcome aboard!
  3. At varmint's lunch today, sherri and I decided we want to go on a quest for the best affordable burger in the city. Affordable is my idea, but she can go where she likes. We're starting out at Molly's. Anyone want to come? Once a month? Every two weeks? (Corner Bistro fans welcomed and encouraged).
  4. They'll be walking all over creation for a few hours. I think they'll be able to handle it. Another great time. I got there late after a horrible bike ride downtown, so missed some of the action. But the food was wonderful except for that fucking piece of shrimp they snuck into my dumpling. If I knew where the bathrooms were, I would have run. As it was, I did the adult thing and swallowed it with my fruit shake thing followed by a few slugs of soy sauce. All was well, and the rest of the food was fab and plentiful. I should have made a bigger pie. herb, you're lying, arent you? I just love meeting you people!
  5. Thank you. Hmmmm....
  6. Would I lie about that?
  7. Never blame the pork.
  8. And this works for diabetics, how?
  9. I will TOTALLY take a massage. But I still want a mixer. Will check out Costco.
  10. Yeah, the nut thing is a tough one to crack. I do apologize. Someone recently complained that there were too few nuts. Again, you can't please everyone. I can't tell which I like, the whole or the chopped pecans. The whole ones make it difficult to cut through, but they look pretty.
  11. Oh dear.
  12. The warm environment in your belly would make it grow like anything!
  13. I have to give my rec for burritos. La Cumbre all the way. On Valencia, off 16th. Fabulously cooked beef. I didn't muck it up with beans and rice. TOO much filler.
  14. Starter for sherri! You've read the eGCI thread?
  15. Yaaay! What do you think about the amount of nuts? A good balance? Thanks for the report!
  16. Cryin out loud. I didn't see this. Thanks Richard. Okay here's the update if you haven't read it elsewhere. Out of the convent, John may be in a mental institution. Anyhoo.... Still don't have a mixer. Starting to look again. I burned out my mother's hand mixer, mine is packed away. Regardless, the business is going well enough to spend some cash to save my sanity. I still think 5 or 6 quarts is too small. 12, I think would be perfect. And it would be mine, all mine. nightscotsman, any new thoughts on the 6 quart KitchenAids? Anyone else? Also, waaay earlier, when I said I was making 116 loaves of bread, subtract a hundred.
  17. No more takers for sourdough starter?
  18. How much are they?
  19. You suck. But you DO have the craziest emoticons! AND DON'T TALK ABOUT THE PIG PICKIN! I'M JEALOUS!
  20. You were clearly out of your mind.
  21. sherri, I suppose you should ask inside for... dumplin... no, that wouldn't work. Well, I look Irish and will be wearing a jean jacket with a giant hole on the back if that helps. I'll find you.
  22. Starter for dumpling!

    Roasting a Chicken

    Anyone remember 'Accidental Tourist?'
  24. Hey, does anyone want some sourdough starter? It's growing like mad and I'll have to get rid of some soon. Did I already ask on this thread?
  25. FYI, Burger Joint is not the Parker Meridian location. You can call that "the other Burger Joint" if you like. Burger Joint on Broadway has been there faaaar longer than the other place.
