Looking for cookbooks or recipes which feature the main meal cooked in one pot. I'm interested in what kind of things can go in the same pot. Someone (might have been @JAZ) had a meatball, sauce and pasta combination for the Instant Pot. How do people resolve how much water to add to one pot dish of lentils? So far, I have these two: One pan, One Meal by Elena Silcock with (eG-friendly Amazon.com link) Whole in One (Pot) by Ellie Krieger with (eG-friendly Amazon.com link) It's noticable that some One Pan, One Meal recipe authors call for "1 cup rice, cooked" and others call for "1 cup cooked rice, frozen" which seem pretty equivalent to me.

Hi @Shel_B, nice to see you back here. @blue_dolphin has a chart of appropriate cooking times for Rancho Gordo beans in the Instant Pot. From her notes, chickpea (garbanzo) needs 10-14 minutes soaked or 32-35 unsoaked. I eat a lot of Rancho Gordo beans of all varieties and, because I want slightly chewy beans (underdone), I have taken to always soaking the beans for 6 hours (or overnight) and not pressure cooking them. I use the slow cook option, medium heat, for a few hours. If we're approaching dinner hour and the beans aren't done yet, I raise the slow cooker temp to high heat for a while.

I'm thinking more about Eat Your Books, so can I ask some questions? Supposing you had some day or three old bread, how would you go about looking for recipes which use stale or dry bread?

Do you suppose there is any difference in the behaviour of the pump mechanism whether the contents are liquid soap or soap foam?

How does one clean this device? (BBQ sauce drips?) I have an Anova Oven which does NOT have any self-clean option which I think is a REAL DRAWBACK.

I have purchased some surprisingly pricey empty plastic bottles with a "reusuable" pump only to discover (again and again) that the pump fails. (e.g. look here). These bottles are filled with foaming soap made in my blender (4:1 unscented dish soap and water). The pump fails after the first bottle of soap foam. Has anyone discovered a reliable soap dispenser? TIA.

I have TWO flour canisters with broken off corners!

@ElsieD. I did call Zojirushi, but it was some time ago. It wasn't a satisfactory exchange. I could ship the whole machine to them for repair/replacement of parts. Seems expensive AND I would be without a bread machine for a while. Haven't felt sufficiently motivated.
