  1. @ElsieD. I did call Zojirushi, but it was some time ago. It wasn't a satisfactory exchange. I could ship the whole machine to them for repair/replacement of parts. Seems expensive AND I would be without a bread machine for a while. Haven't felt sufficiently motivated.
  2. No, but I haven't tried. I just make bread with paddles in it. 😝

    Here's one
  4. Welcome @C00kman. This is a great place! I have noticed that if I go out to a super restaurant, it's the vegetables which taste the best.
  5. @Kerala, 'tis an impressive spread! Could you say a bit more about how these chicken livers were prepared? And describe the final dish too, please?
  6. Now that you mention it, I remember that delicious flan in Spain!
  7. Thanks for the wonderful travelogue, @BonVivant. Happy New Year to you and partner!
  8. The article I found on internet said 375F for 10 minutes, which burnt some to a crisp. I then did 4 minutes at 300F with 10% steam which produced a much better result on another bunch. Thanks, @pastrygirl.
  9. Unable to find my notes about "refreshing" stale crackers in the oven. Suggestions?
  10. Thanks, @Katie Meadow. @weinoo convinced me to get a Moulinex. Don't know why I don't use it more . . . guess I keep thinking there will be a really, really sharp grater that will be easier to handle. 🫢
  11. My hands are the problem; I need a superior grating ability (with many shapes unworkable). And I have busted a couple workbowls for the Cuisinart trying to chop up cheese. No workable solutions at present. Ideas welcome.
  12. What do you think of this, @rotuts ? Microplane at $70
  13. @dans, please post your results. I, for one, am really curious!
  14. Sounds tasty. Do you have a recipe for this?
  15. Worst case you can add olive oil and parmesan to the beans tomorrow.
  16. They're huge beans, right? So I would think a longer soak. Just keep 'em on simmer overnight.
  17. I counted 19 place settings @Duvel. I'm just imagining all the great food . . .
  18. @Shelby, such a lot of glorious looking treats! Up to your usual style, I see. Can you tell us a bit more about @ElsieD's Moose Farts and @ChocoMom's Apple Snickers Salad? Good luck to your family, @Maison Rustique - hope the weather improves. @chromedome, it's always a joy to read your writing. @Tropicalsenior thanks for your good wishes; they are fully returned 😀 Welcome to a fine place, @mazza. @Katie Meadow, yours is a Christmas to envy. @gulfporter, I've been contemplating your marvellous Christmas story for a couple days now. Such a lot of good friends . . .
  19. Kim, everything looks so lovely! Bet it all tastes great too. Could you provide recipes for Iced Almonds and Mincemeat Pinwheels?
  20. Hello @yekasi4. Which Bay Area? Welcome!
  21. Dear @mjm240, you've come to the right place! Lots of folk here very interested in food, humour, and helping you spend money! See eG Enablers Hall of Fame Welcome!
  22. I'm interested in doing a boeuf bourguignon in the APO. Any suggestions as to method, temp, and time? Edited to add: I have 2.5 lbs of beef chuck roast.
  23. @rotuts, I have a pile of insert stuff for the 6 quart. Do you recommend buying it all again for the 3 quart? Why?
  24. Done! Thanks, @FauxPas.
  25. @rotuts, I've been reading cookbooks for the Instant Pot and have developed an interest in the 3 quart. If you hear of any deals, please post here!
