  5. Could someone point out who is who in the photos of table1 and table2? :/
  6. Yea, I'm completely miserable. Sucks.
  7. Good job totally avoiding the subject. Your personality shines with ever post you make. If only you knew what people really thought. Oh, and http://www.blastradius.com I think you have a bit more ass-kissing to do over in the Bobby Gold thread. Hop to it!
  8. Explain to us all what makes a great restaurant website, WHT. The picture of Chef Trotter with his finger on the side of his nose makes it a bad website? You must be kidding. The food photos could come from anywhere? I think not. Would you have preferred it if the there were enormous neon signs on each dish that screamed "CREATED AT CHARLIE TROTTER'S"?
  9. It's well designed, if a little behind the times. I quite like it, and this is what I do for a living.

    Butter Poaching

I've done this, but added lime zest to the crust. Lime/macadamia is a great combination. Works well with lamb as well.
  11. Does anyone have any idea how I could go about finding out when (if not already) this has aired in Ontario? :(
  12. Referring to sparklings wines from all regions as "Champagne"
  13. From a previous bone you successfully picked Steven, hangar steak.
  14. Eww. Gives new meaning to "cream sauce" doesn't it?

    Dinner! 2003

I tried something "avant-garde" tonight. Carmelized onion/brie Tart with a black pepper/rosemary/vidalia sorbet (think apple pie and ice cream). It actually worked really well.
  16. This is the greatest thread I've ever read.
  17. Damnit. I can't wait until the second season starts airing in Canada. :(
  18. Personally, I'd choose the meal. Though I love wine, I do love food infinitely more. I'm not as knowledgeable when it comes to wine (yet), so I don't feel that I'm able to appreciate it as much as a wonderful meal. When it comes to food, I basically know what I want, what I love, and what I don't like. When it comes to wine, I'm still learning. I'm still trying to figure out what I truly love in a wine, or what I SHOULD love in a wine (from what I've read). I'm not at the point where I can appreciate a great wine as much as I could a great meal. That may change in the future, but for now, I want to eat.
  19. Sometimes I'll eat McDonald's for dinner. I don't consider that "nice", do you? And certainly not appropriate (in my mind) to open a bottle for.
  20. With "nice" meals, wine and water. With regular everyday-type food, water and juice or sometimes pop (soda for you Americans). :) Ontario.
  21. There is obvious weight to this "rumour". At this point, I'm prepared to believe it as truth.
