  1. Now that's my kinda fridge!!!
  2. Vitacost is currently offering 20% off all ($50 and over) food orders—and free shipping. 24 hours only. This is the best deal I've found on Redboat Fish Sauce and Bragg Organic Raw Apple Cider Vinegar and some other stuff.
  3. A simple trick that works okay for something like natural peanut butter is to rotate the jar, top to bottom, bottom to top, once or twice per day.
  4. No, not that I've found.
  5. Yeah, me too!
  6. I don't give a rat's ass what my fridge looks like. I don't aim to impress, never will! Not caring what other people think is a superpower!
  7. I have may of them too, just not on the fridge.
  8. I like "push pin" style rare earth magnets. I prefer black, but they're also available in metallic, which, I think, would look good on a stainless steel fridge. The wider, the better. I acquired mine via eBay.
  9. I've added another 2.1 speaker system to Google Home group. This is a small house but true whole-house sound coverage required it. So, playing on Home group are the full-size Google Home, two Google Home Minis, and three 2.1 speaker systems playing via two Chromecast audios. A 3.5mm "Y" splitter attached to one of the Chromecast audios.
  10. "It's Apple's HomePod vs. the Google Home Max." "Who's got the sound and smarts to reign supreme? It's a Prizefight punch-out for smart speaker supremacy." Another vote for the Google Home Max in terms of sound quality. Google also wins as an assistant and smart-home controller, but there's definitely plenty of room for improvement!!! BTW, I think they''re both ugly. LOL
  11. Check out Kosher Dosher's blogs. AKA BIGNYJEW AKA Lloyd Lloyd, who happens to be a great guy, has posted about several of his BBQ creations. His food always looks good. https://kosherdosher.blogspot.com/ https://www.facebook.com/kosherdosher/
  12. Our family's preferred schnitzel—by far— has always been venison dusted with flour containing salt and pepper, pounded flat, and fried in butter! Adapted, over time, in my paternal grandmother's family—who came from the Palatinate of the Rhine. I grew up on the stuff! It's my preferred way of eating venison—I love it!
  13. Yeah, that sucks! Same with Google Home. I put in a feature request a couple weeks ago, asking the Google Home team to add the alarm feature to Home Group when requested. I also asked that the pronunciation of Elmira, NY be corrected—it's EXTREMELY irritating. Alexa gets it right. FWIW, this is one of the best Google Home articles I've found. The ultimate guide to Google Home: Tips and tricks for understanding and making the most out of your assistant speaker. The comments are worth a read too.
  14. FWIW, Google Home Max tops Apple HomePod for audio, says Consumer Reports.
  15. No, I definitely don't do Apple. I've had too much bad luck with expensive Apple products in the past. But, I do remember lusting for an Apple Mac Plus way back in 1986—the public library in Corning, NY had a couple or so. Apple's brilliant marketing strategy, early on, was to give away, or sharply discount computers to schools, libraries and like to get the young hooked on them. The Apple Mac Plus cost $2,600!!! I now run 'free' Linux and open-source software as much as possible.
  16. My Alexa (Eufy Genie) is now in the kitchen, along with a new Google Home Mini. So, now, that's a full sized Google Home and two minis, along with two Chromecast audios, all playing music, ebooks, or podcasts simultaneously when commanded.
  17. I don't eat early—no breakfast—and I don't eat late. 1 or 2 meals per day. Earliest at noon, latest at 4:00 PM. Unless it's a special occasion, which is very rare. ETA: ZERO snacks!
  18. Have to, should, avoid sugar and starch. I really like Jus Gras—made with sunflower lecithin.
  19. ANYONE can be a grower!!! Heck, I've posted about it MANY times, here and elsewhere—about me getting rid of ALL inedibles in my yard and replacing them with edibles, etc.—there's almost NO interest! Seems—the view, almost always is—someone else who should be doing the work! I don't get it!
  20. LOL I think that 'sick' in a context such as this could have two meanings—exactly the opposite. When I see the term 'sick' used as above, I almost always take it to mean, 'sick' as in/short for 'sickening.'
  21. Don't get me started—seems there's much 'talking the talk' and little 'walking the walk.' Needs to be much more focus on permaculture/perennial agriculture and the like in areas that can support it—not areas where resources are scare and so unpredictable. Where are the armies of the concerned ? Why are they not out planting millions or billions of useful plants? Me thinks, there's a lot of emotion involved and very little devotion.
  22. Yes, I prefer PDF ebooks. I store recipes in Gmail, Google Drive and Google Keep—easily searched/sorted via keywords and tags/labels. Adobe Scan: PDF Scanner, OCR
  23. Yes, they appear in "ANNOTATED BOOKS FROM YOUR LIBRARY (Most recently accessed shown first)" on the left.
  24. If you have a PC or Mac, you can open the cookbook in Kindle for PC (or Mac) and copy the recipes into a word processor or the like. You can also do something similar by highlighting the text on the Kindle, app, or Kindle Cloud Reader, then viewing the highlights in "Your Notes and Highlights." https://read.amazon.com/notebook Edited to add: On the right in "Your Notes and Highlights" there's an option drop-down menu with an option to open each highlight in Kindle.
