What Are You Preserving, and How Are You Doing It? (2016–)

Yeah—cranberries, cabbage, and 2% salt. If the cranberries and cabbage don't yield enough water after salting, I add 2% brine to cover. -

Crankraut Cranberries and red cabbage. Natural fermentation. 2% equilibrium brine. -
I have a condition, essential tremor—that Katharine Hepburn thing—which makes it impossible for me to take a photo freehand. It's such a pain to setup a tripod EVERY time I want to snap a photo, so I'm hoping that Anti-Blur Cam and a stabilizing gimbal will remedy the issue. We'll see!

I had the 3 piece offset spoon set in the cart but balked at the OUTRAGEOUS shipping fee!!! $14.28!!!! That set of spoons could safely ship for $3.65 or less via first class mail! -
I was excited and almost strung for it, but in the end, I balked. I'll wait for the ANOVA's death. Not much birthday money left.

Oops! I forgot Save-A-Lot! To Aldi's credit they do have EXCELLENT customer service. I called the customer service 'hotline' in regard to issues I recently had with a couple products. Via their 'Double Guarantee' I received a $12 gift card a few days later.

Raw Milk from UDDER MILK COMPANY - Health ALERT for Brucellosis!
Martin Fisher replied to a topic in Kitchen Consumer
There is no doubt that potential risk exists. Raw milk may be contaminated with brucella, listeria, salmonella, e. coli, or campylobacter. So why do some people choose to consume high-risk foods such as raw milk, raw oysters, raw fish (sushi), raw beef (steak tartare,) raw egg, raw fruits and vegetables, etc.? The answer is—flavor! Those willing to accept the risk should be permitted to consume whatever THEY choose! -

Maybe, but I grew up in dairy country—I know dozens and dozens of folks who drink raw milk every day. -
Metallurgist voodoo, no doubt!
