The Instant Pot Duo Mini 3 Qt 7-in-1 arrived today. The Wilton Excelle Elite 6 x 2-3/4 Inch Springform Pan fits it perfectly! I'll be making savory cheesecake very soon!

Yet I drank it for 40+ years without issue. Some friends and family, much, MUCH, longer. -
Nope, the Albrecht brothers split things up many years ago over a dispute over the sale of cigarettes. Aldi USA was spawned from Karl Albrecht's company whereas Trader Joe's was bought and expanded by Theo Albrecht. Aldi definitely does not have as good of prices and is not as competitive in this area as it appears to be in others. Within 4 miles we have Aldi, Tops, Jubilee, Weis and Walmart. There's also a Sam's Club. Minier's, a family owned grocery store, is about 8 or 9 miles away.

Demographics! "Aldi has also opened stores close to Wal-Mart's supercenters to benefit from its budget-conscious shoppers." Exclusive: Aldi raises stakes in U.S. price war with Wal-Mart

I'm hoping the Joule drops to ~$150. I'll be on it like a rat on a Cheetos™ cheese puff! Probably a pipe dream!

I questioned him last night on Twitter. He hasn't responded yet. -
Ruhlman / Dalton Spoons, Utensils, and Kitchen Accessories

No! There used to be available a well designed stainless steel ladle that had a flat edge so that it could be used for both scraping and scooping—but a cursory search hints that it has disappeared! I can't remember who, exactly, sold it. I think it was seed vendors or sausage making supply vendors. It may also have been Lehman's Hardware in Ohio. -
Ruhlman / Dalton Spoons, Utensils, and Kitchen Accessories

Nope! Nothing special! I bent it on the edge of a stainless steel work table. Two bends. I flipped the spoon over so the bowl rested flat on the edge of the table, then I bent the entire handle downward. When that was complete, I flipped the spoon back over and bent the handle near the middle so that the upper part of the handle is close to parallel with the rim of the bowl. -
I just bought one.

How did I do? 50¢ tablespoon—2/$1—from Dollar Tree. I have some higher quality spoons to bend—larger Cambridge and a much larger Oneida. -

My mom bought a book at a thrift store. When she got home she found $200 in it!!! -
Sous vide and deep fry?
-
Yeah, the Byrne UP cream is usually ~$5.00 at other stores. Unfortunately, the non-UP cream is only available at Byrne stores.
-
What are the prices in your area @MelissaH?
-
Byrne Dairy stores are sort of a convenience store, hence the high prices. Their cream is usually priced less elsewhere.

That app is still alive but it was never/hasn't been brought to Android—a serious misstep!!!

FWIW: "Perfect" rapid sous vide egg.

"Switch to Aldi Exclusive Brands and save up to 50% on groceries." That's non-sense. Wegmans beats Aldi on several products I regularly buy. Too bad the quality of Aldi's products is generally low–I only buy a few products there. Check-out is extremely rapid because there is no bagging!!!

FWIW: You can make your own 'instant roux' by browning flour in a skillet. Something I would use on occasion back in the days when I used roux.

I plan to get my set-up back up and running soon.
