Rebel. You’re colouring outside the lines

Maybe we can begin a topic The Gallery of Regrettable Nudes? Would it quickly become the Gallery of Regretful Nudes?

Fusion cuisine. Mince with rice because I had no suitable tatties. And even the mince wobbles outside the lines as I added some mushrooms that were wrinkling in the refrigerator.

So the natural peanut butters went off to feed the birds! I was able to acquire some Kraft creamy “unnatural” peanut butter make these peanut butter chocolate chip bars. As you can see they are extremely crumbly and fragile so they will not be making a return appearance. I am still betting none of them will be returned to me. I had two other recipes from eG members that I was anxious to try but unfortunately did not have the ingredients. Maybe next week.

They do look good. Thanks for reporting back.

My like is because you posted not because I like that you had a disaster!

No idea. It was the last of the jar and my cleaning angel took away my recycles. Ghee is in a liquid state so it is more convenient.

Worth a little extra but $14 a dozen? I thought it was a goose that laid the golden egg.

Looks delicious, sounds good so the tasting notes are much appreciated. I have her other book but can’t remember if I’ve ever used it.

Jamie Oliver’s interpretation of the kimchi toastie. His twist is to sprinkle grated cheese into a nonstick pan and when the sandwich is toasted on one side it is flipped and placed atop and left there until the cheese melts and adheres to the bread.

Cheerios? From the butcher?

Although I would love some fish, those potatoes are calling loudest to me.

Since in my experience and I stress that, most American and Canadian baking recipes are based on large eggs, they were always my best supermarket buy regardless of price. I haven’t bought eggs in sometime as I am lucky enough to be given farm eggs. These can vary in size because they’re not graded but I have never had any issues. Most of them appear to me to be large.

Roasted root vegetables over romaine lettuce with a spicy peanut sauce and very lightly toasted slivered almonds.

But you will surely be reporting back? Please. Must admit the sauce was new to me and I had to look it up. Don’t know if it’s available around here and I’m not sure that I like that kind of sauce enough to worry. But I’m always happy to learn something new.

I don’t have any bread to dip but this sure does sound good!

Thanks but I cannot accept unearned kudos. It was always here only temporarily. I simply do not have room for it. @Kerry Beal could not walk away from a bargain so I got the opportunity to play with it which I really enjoyed.

Thanks. Given the limited room I have in my kitchen, the mesh bag scrunches up into something no bigger than an egg. Truth be told, when I am not using it to sous vide eggs it holds my onions in suspension.

My Philips is moving on. It just takes up too much room for the few times that I have used it. I do find that the A4 Box does just fine for my one lamb chop or whatever else I need to cook for just me. I enjoyed playing with the Philips and I hope its next owner appreciates it as much as I did.

Made hard-boiled eggs sous vide yesterday and enjoyed a couple of them in an egg salad which I put on top of a piece of naan for breakfast this morning. I can’t remember which member it was but someone used a mesh bag to hold the eggs. I stole this idea and it works very well. I was able to lower them into the sous vide bath, lift them out easily, and finally lower them into an ice bath. A very convenient way of dealing with eggs sous vide. The only downside, and it didn’t really matter for egg salad, was that the yolks were not centered. I think the agitation of the loose eggs makes this less likely.
